Poured from 12oz bottle into Snifter. Best before April 13th 2021.

L: Murky brown, mostly opaque. Finger width khaki head, decent retention.

S: Rich dark fruits, fig, apricot, plum. Brown sugar and an alcohol presence.

T: Dark fruits again, with a flash of clove and some brown sugar. Very nice.

F: Belgian carbonation. Medium body. Clean.

O: The name speaks for itself at this point. It's a Rochefort, therefore it's an excellent beer.

Delicious dark malt flavor, whole grain, candy, hopy show yeast flavor like a real classic trappist alone can appreciate the ingredients in a simplicity and yet they give such a full flavor divine

Pours hazy medium-dark brown with a small creamy head. Smells boozy and of chocolate, raisins, minerals, and ripe dark fruit. Rich and somewhat creamy body with carbonation on the lower side. Tastes similar to the aroma, with the addition of caramel malts and some sweetness. Finish is a bit sweet with a slight warm booziness. Overall: Delicious and at 9.2% ABV, dangerously drinkable.

A truly magical brew. It pours as a rich mahogany with a big stable parchment coloured head. The aroma is surprisingly light. Yeast, alcohol (you wonder if it is going to overwhelm. It doesn't. Then deeper in there is rum, coriander, plums. The taste opens from the rum to a rich toffee flavour with some nutty breads (crust) flavours. This beer is huge in the mouth without being overwhelming. Rich but still comfortable. Ideal for a celebratory occasion, a Christmas beer, or just any time you need to know all is well with your world.

Pours a murky raisin-color with a huge tan head. Nose holds coriander, yeast, rum, dried fruits, cloves, a bit of brown sugar. Smells like a fruitcake, in the best way possible. Taste is bready and sweet. Cloves, wood, molasses, cherries, rum, figs. Some alcohol warmth with a depth of flavor and a malty richness that is just exquisite. Highly carbonated. An incredible beer.
