A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 8th August 2018. Poured into a mini Rochefort goblet glass.

Appearance: A light-ish orange brown colour with a one finger beige coloured head that dissipated fairly quickly while leaving some sparse lacing.

Aroma: Dark fruit plum, prunes and raisins with a hint of caramel.

Taste: Like the aroma, there’s lots of dark fruit raisins, prunes and plum with hints of honey, caramel and toffee.

Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation.

Overall: Nice but not as complex as the other beers in their small but wonderful lineup.

330 ml bottle poured into a teku.

A- Red hues through a deep orange body, with some yeasty turbidity. Head towers, light tan, bubbly, with great retention. Some of that settled yeast lies on top of the head.

S- Fruity esters, stone fruit: peach/plum. Sweet bread malt, with some nice spicy yeast character. Faint caramel.

T- Sweet and bready, yeasty, and light caramel. Fruit notes a little darker: plum and cherry. A nice spicy character from the yeast comes through in flavor as well.

M- Body medium in feel. Carbonation is bright and a bit prickly. Finish dries, and presents an alcohol warmth.

O- Depth nice, with some more delicate flavors and nuances than the strong Rochefort beers. Drinkable, yet still a small detection of the strength in alcohol.

Sweet smell of caramel. Taste is crisp with a earthy sourness surrounded by a velvety sweetness. Easy to drink.

Pours a rich orange-plum with two fingers of khaki-colored foam retaining exceptionally well. Aroma is pale, bread, biscuit, and earth malts with rich notes of plum, clove, and yeast spices. Flavor profile is bread, biscuit, earth, and pale malts with plum, clove, and yeast spices. Yeast spices deliver that quintessential Belgian beer flavor. Mouth feel is smooth and creamy with a medium thickness. Overall, a big beer even if it's just sitting around 7% ABV. It's the complete package, with every aspect of the beer coming off meticulously constructed.

Served in a Chimay chalice from a 11.2oz bottle.

Not my favorite rubble but it is a very good one. I would pick this up again for a change of pace. The only detraction was the price. It must be imported in a lesser volume than Chimay because it was stupid expensive.

This beer pours beautifully from a bottle into a tulip glass glass, giving a huge thick , foamy head and great curtain lacing. The smell is sweet with maybe some cherry. Taste is of caramel and sweet fruit. Just a hit of hoppy bitterness. Great beer! Have had it before and will have it again.

Caramel brown, slightly amber in appearance with a frothy white head mixed with some tart wild ale sour aroma. Taste is slight cherry tart with melted caramel cream and burnt Belgian sugars. The mouthfeel is medium to thick creamy texture with small dose of hops. Overall it was easy drinking, alcohol well hidden but for $7 a bottle it is just not worth seeking out a second time.

Dark copper colored with a fingernail of brown around most of the rim and covering about half of the top. The aroma is of caramel and dark Belgian candy sugar. I'm tasting caramel and cola flavors along with some bready malt. The mouth is lightly sticky and chewy and is moderately carbonated.
