On-tap at Valhalla, New York, NY

A: The beer is slightly hazy pale yellow in color with some hints of amber hues. It has no visible carbonation and poured with a very thin but dense white head that died down and left a bit of lacing on the surface and down the sides of the glass.
S: There are moderately strong aromas of Belgian yeast, grassy hops and pale malts in the nose along with some hints of spices.
T: Like the smell, the initial taste has flavors of pale malts and Belgian yeast. This is followed by flavors of peppery spices, which particularly linger through the finish.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and slightly smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. No dryness is apparent.
O: This beer is rather easy to drink compared to most other beers in the style and hides its alcohol very well.

Growler fill from Bellport Beer. Dave has a great selection of beer, from bottles to growlers A+++ Check him out!

A - orange yellow hue when poured. Very clean looking, it looks crisp and refreshing. Very good lacing after an inch of head

S - Spicy, floral and almost a grassy aroma.

T - Spicy hop at the front with a malty ginger finish at the end

M - med

D - Very good for a couple of pints, but at 7% it can bite you in the ass!

I had this one on tap at the Bronx Alehouse served in a Duvel tulip glass.

A: Pours an dark orange color with finger plus of sticky lacy head.

S: Sweet malts and dashes of spice

T: One of the more intriguing beers I have tasted in some time. After a long discussion with many other fellow imbibers, I believe the sweet taste is mint. Others have proffered anise, anizet, wild yeast and even menthol.

M: Medium to thick

D: Quite easy if you want a spicy front and sweet finish with a impressive complexity.

On draft at Spitzer's Corner, NYC.

Poured a light copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.

The smell featured a full ester, grass, caramel and white pepper.

The taste consisted of an upfront peppery hop with a full ester spice and doughy malt.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style with a residual hop spice.

Overall a superior ale. Just excellent.
