Notes:
A blend of North American pale, light Munich, light crystal, and carapils malts provide a light malty backbone to balance healthy kettle and dry-hops additions of Cascade, Centennial, and Columbus. Hoppy yet balanced, our latest Project Hoppiness offering is our nod to the beers we love from the other coast. “Winner of the Brooklyn Mystery IPA Challenge.”

12oz can from Half Time. Pale golden pour, light cloudiness, thin foamy head. Aroma is floral, herbal, savory, citrus. Taste is orange, hand soap, sage, a real mixed bag.

A very average IPA. Good, easy to drink, but unremarkable (in a good way).

Pours cloudy orange gold color with a 1-2 finger thick off white head that faded slowly and left really nice lacing. Smells like orange peel, tangerine, lemon zest, biscuit, mild peppery spices and dry citrus hops. Tastes like it smells with the additions of grapefruit, tea leaf, dry chalky yeast, faint pineapple and earthy tones. A nice session beer.

No date on box or can. Shame...
Clear gold. Rocky, pillowy white head. Great retention and sheets of lacing.
Aroma of honey, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon, pine. Pithy and tart. Juicy citrus.
Tastes of big yellow grapefruit and pineapple. Fresh pine needles, honey, pink grapefruit flesh, cracker malt. A bit woody. Mild lingering bitterness, grapefruit peel and pine. Not especially bitter. Crisp and dry.
Medium feel, well carbonated, oily, lightly resinous.
A great IPA! But Greenport Harbor, please date your f***ing beers!!!!

Tastes genuinely like a west coast ipa but brewed on the east coast. Has full west coast bitterness. Not that distinctive or complex though- a fairly standard/competent version of a west coast ipa.

Served to tap at the Greenport Harbor Brewing Company in Greenport, NY.
A: Pours a crystal clear, golden color with a one finger, off-white, foamy head, rim retention, and camouflage style lacing.
S: Aromas of citrus (tangerine and lime) and a tiny bit of cardamom.
T: Semidry to dry. Flavors similar to the nose, but lime predominates. Balanced bitterness.
M: Medium bodied and moderate carbonation.
O: Really a very drinkable and delicious American IPA. Not sure it really meets the criteria for "West Coast," but enjoyable nonetheless.

Hazy medium-golden color with a nice head. Surprisingly hoppy with enough malt to balance the bitterness and sweetness. Leans toward a west coast IPA that feels fresh on the palate, but a bit more malt than a traditional west coast IPA. Nice beer.

Crisp clean taste with a bit of Tang. Wonderful golden color. Smooth slightly more hopy then I like but it was still a nice beer.

Pleased to be among first reviewers of this fine east coast tribute to west coast. In a blind test this did well, not surprised.
a) hard to argue with the light gold hazed body and the lasting creamy head that suds laces around the glass all the way.
s) Ample. Eastern LI style. Full nose of citrus and pine hops, juicy, fruity malts - almost EIPA.
t) ABV well hidden behind a flavor wall of juicy, varied hops. mostly lemon, grapefruit, fruity, pine balanced with caramel and toasted malts smoothing out in only a light bitterness that keeps it from being too sweet,
f) Mid body & carbs, nice ending, clean after juicy experience.
o) Like an EIPA more than a west coaster, more malty and candied.

Poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking glazed over pale orange color with a thick foamy white semi-finger's worth of head that slid off at a moderate pace. Lace seemed to run here and there.
The aroma had a nice sweet spruce to evergreen hop contour, very fresh and clean with a nice sturdy clean cracker-esque malt bill coming about.
The flavor took all of the prior mentioned aromas to lean in to the sweetness of it all and pop in a slight hop spice to ride into the aftertaste fairly nice.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate. Finish had just a hint of stickiness, acceptable, but not burdensome.
Overall, pretty good as an AIPA, and perhaps one I could come back to if offered.
