Flagship Light Beer

This is brewed by a restaurant/brewery in Virginia. The place has a large variety of beers, but only six are available at one time so they rotate a lot. This particular beer is always available year round. It's their flagship light beer.

Like I said, it's a light beer, and my review is based on the fact that it's a light beer. It's very close to water. It doesn't have much of a smell. It has a very light urine-like color, and it has the taste of a light lager. It's not fancy. There's no reason to spend much time talking about it. It's not my favorite. I haven't gotten it in years despite the fact that it's available right down the street.

But if for whatever crazy reason you want some light beer, then this is the one to get because as light beers go, this has by far the best taste.

This is just another reason why I do NOT like light beer. Sacrifice the carbs, you sacrifice the taste.

Poured into a pilsner glass with no head and straw yellow color. Clear like water.

S - Crisp straw and light sweet malt, very light. Very hard to smell this beer.

T - uggh. Not much of a taste here. Light grain with a touch of lemon zest in the background.

M - Low-medium carbonation. Watery, not smooth.

I barely could finish my 8oz draft. I did not enjoy this.

On-tap at the Centerville location. Notes dated 5/23/07.

Pale gold color with a thin head.

Smells of... nothing. Very faint notes everywhere.

Very light body. Smooth from the over active carbonation. Not alot of flavor but a very clean finish. Not a very exciting brew.

I'm not a big fan of light beer. And this is definitely a light beer.

This was not that bad at taste but touting light beers should at least have the carb count as a measure.
