Lovely hit of banana and spice on the nose, banana bread and spun sugar flavor. Lovely golden body, persistent head. A full, lush delicious take that delivers on the classic attributes of the style. Seems appropriate.

750 ml bottle into a tulip glass. Bottled 1/19/17, had 7/14/17.

Pours a hazy golden color, with a two inch foamy head with good retention and lots of foamy lacing. Smells of Belgian yeast, light banana, cloves, other spices, light malt, wheat, a light funky wet hay aroma. The taste is similar to the nose, with Belgian yeast, malt, spices- clove and coriander pop out, still a light funk. Bready, with a fair amount of bitterness throughout. Smooth, crisp, a solid body, a high level of carbonation.

A very good, classic Tripel. More bitterness than others in its class, but great aroma and flavor. Worth a purchase.

Drunk @ cellar temp and poured into goblet:

This golden orange frothy head beer is nothing special. Not my favorite of Belgians. Smell is a fruity perfume with flavors of burnt sugar malts with a candy banana finish. Nothing worth seeking out, much better Belgians out there.

L - Dull color with a thick cloudy white head.
S - Sweet and bready with a hint of banana and pine.
T - Follows the nose with a peppery, then slightly bitter finish.
F - Effervescent and medium bodied.
O - Well crafted and balanced. The alcohol is well hidden. However, I am not a huge fan of the pepper taste.

Bottle. Straw coloured with an extra thick frothy head. Effervescent.
Spicy yeast and barley water. Phenols apparent.
A gentle flavour that reflects the bouquet. Some sweetness to start ahead of some pepper. Banana present. Very boozy.
Sparkling on the tongue. Moderate body.
Well constructed but Tripels are not favoured by me.

Poured from 11.2 fluid ounce brown bottle into glass. Best by date is '18/07/18'.
Body is a beautiful cloudy, golden against the light. Thick, pillowy head settles to interrupted cap. Some thin lines of lacing.
Smell is floral, peach, banana. Some spice in the mix.
Initial taste of sweet sugary notes, followed by floral and fruit notes, some banana late. Spices abound.
Tongue tingling carbonation on mouth feel, rather dry at the end.
Like it, like it a lot.

Poured 1 pint, 9.4 oz into snifter glass.

Appearance- Pours a glowing, dark yellow. Quite cloudy with a thick haze. High, foaming white head that leaves spotty lacing on the glass.

Smell- Tart plums, Belgian yeast, banana, floral nectar aroma, coriander spice.

Taste- Sweet, sugary malt with Belgian yeast adding with the sweet flavor. Fruit blances this out, with a tartness, such as an unripe white grape or plum that is just not quite ready. Boldness of the fruit flavor picks up, as tartness decreases turning to a banana flavor. As the finish near, phenols are present along with a grassy flavor. Light touches of pepper and coriander spice round off the flavor profile.

Mouthfeel- Medium/heavy in body with medium carbonation.

Overall- A fine tripel brewed in the Trappist manner, straight from the source. Lots of complex changes in the flavor profile. Great for a sipping session to finish this pint and a half of a Tripel.
