Appearance: 750 mL bottle poured into a pint glass. Translucent gold with decent carbonation. Head settles at 1.5 fingers and sticks around for a while.

Aroma: Hint of rose petals, some alcohol, and tree fruits, like apricots or green apple maybe.

Taste: Crisp apricot, but not overly sweet. Brown sugar through the middle with some bread-like notes. Finishes with a lingering phenol and fresh-cut-grass taste that I haven't had in a tripel before. Interesting.

Mouthfeel: Dry up front but coats the tongue and throat for the lingering aftertaste. Carbonation gives it a lively bubble in the mouth. Coats the tongue and stays there.

Overall: It's got a good flavor. It goes down easy for 9%, and is very enjoyable. Not my favorite, but very good overall.

True to its worldwide reputation, this is an all-time classic. Pours a beautiful golden color, very clear wand with a very big head. Awesome retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet, spicy and somewhat boozy. Ripe pears, candi sugar and spices. Mild bitterness in the aftertaste but it's barely noticeable. Medium body with cream-like carbonation.

Pours a semi-opaque light gold that astonishingly appears to get more opaque after a while, with a huge head, not much lacing. Smells of grain/corn, citrus, apple cider, and orange, with a grassy, boozy feel. Taste is bitter and slightly spicy/peppery, with once again grain, stale bread(?), some apple, and banana. It feels warm and smooth, with medium carbonation, but a light body for a triple. Kinda harsh.

I feel it doesn't really hide its ABV all that well. That makes it a bit hard to get through and kinda mutes the various aromas. Pretty disappointed.

Look: Not at all what I was expecting. After letting the sediment settle at the bottom of the bottle, the resulting pour was a crystal clear and gold in color. A solid 2-3 finger head that dissipated rather quickly.

Smell: Sweet banana, malted grain, slight hop, and a funk on the tail end.

Taste: Banana, bitter hop, malted grain, and a slightly funky finish.

Feel: Starts out light, but the middle to finish coats mouth with a buttery slickness.

Overall: One of the better Trappist beers I've had, not to mention one of the more affordable ones.

A - Pours a cloudy golden orange with a large fluffy white head. Light soapy lacing.

S - Aroma is Belgian yeast, pear, apples, banana, clove and corriander.

T - The flavor follows the aroma. Belgian yeast, banana, apple, pear, honey, clove, corriander and a light earthiness.

M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Soft mouthfeel with a crisp dry finish.

O - One of the best Tripels out there. Great depth of flavors and extremely drinkable at 9.5%.

Bottle pour into tulip.

Quite a vibrant orange colour. Long lasting head. Smells really good; lots of spice and peach/apricot. Tastes as it smells with the addition of a fair hit of booze. Really pleasant stuff but the ABV kind of limits you to one or two of these.

Recommended. Cheers!
