Aroma of pumpkin pie, cooked pumpkin, pumpkin spice, saffron, some vanilla. Appears reddish copper with frothy white head. Mildly sweet light pumpkin flavor, nicely balanced with European mildly bitter straw like hops, pumpkin spice and lingering saffron are in the background; very balanced. Overall, very good for a pumpkin beer, balanced and not overbearing pumpkin spice.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 10/3/2014. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of caramel, toast, brown sugar, molasses, biscuit, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, light anise, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, pumpkin, and spice flavors; with decent strength. Taste of caramel, toast, brown sugar, molasses, biscuit, pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Minimal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, brown sugar, molasses, biscuit, pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity and solid robustness of dark/bready malt, pumpkin, and spice flavors; with a great malt/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light carbonation and medium bodied; with a smooth, moderately creamy, and lightly slick/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice and pleasant pumpkin ale style. All around good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, pumpkin, and spice flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
