Bert's Better Beers

Found the store as I was passing by Hookset, but was glad I did. The staff was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. Great selection of NH beers! Paid for the privilege of buying singles, but it was worth it - many nice NH beers to bring home to VA! Live Free and Drink Beer!

Excellent selection, one of the best beer stores in NH!

 

I came here to find a beer that grocery stores and convenience stores did not carry, Berts had it. The beer was more expensive than I would have expected and it took me some searching to find it because the store does not have an intuitive set up.

One of the best beer stores in Southern NH. Great selection, Knowledgeable staff. Great organization with the beer selection.

 

Ambiance is beer store - nailed it. Service is okay, thought the attitude is rather conceited from certain folks. Selection is good, but lacking some of my most sought after brews, mostly due to poor distribution network. Value is mediocre, as the price is higher than others. Great place to have around though.

This store is great, owner and staff are very helpful. A must go if you're in the area. They carry many hard to find and limited releases. Mix and match as well

Was told by many of people that I HAVE to go there. Staff was super friendly but with the reputation they have....I was not impressed with the amount of out dated beers they had. I spent over 70 dollars in craft beers and thought they would all be fresh based on the stores reputation. I had to throw out 5 beers because they were undrinkable. But I know....Shame on me for not checking the best buy date. I know I know.... :/

Excellent selection, knowledgeable staff, but my only complaint is the prices. He seems to jack up the prices a bit, especially on the more rare beers.

A real nice place that is very neatly organized and presented.

The selection is fairly good, with a good mix of local New Hampshire stuff. You will find the occasional Maine and Vermont stuff in here, but not the highly regarded and demanded stuff such as Alchemist for one thing.

Staff are really nice and knowledgeable. They will easily chat you up for any needs, or desires you may have. They know the product well and can answer pretty much anything, there will be no glassy eyed stares or I don't know kind of responses here. They are extremely helpful.

You wont find everything in the world here, but it's a decent basic selection, and well organized. Also I like the fact they have a shelf dedicated to "what's new" which is something I always love when shopping.

Made my way over to Bert's for the very first time and from the moment I opened the door I was impressed. I was greeted quickly and got a friendly hand shake, after stating it was my first visit, from the gentleman who ended up being Bert himself. There was cheese and crackers available and since it was 4:30pm on a Tuesday I was just in time for some beer tasting samples. The selection was out of this world and the take-what-you-want availability of any beer on the shelves made it easy getting whatever I wanted to make my own six-pack. The prices were fair and reasonable and on-par with other beer places I've visited. This may have been my first visit but it will not be my last! Bert's Better Beers is truly an amazing place in central New Hampshire!
