Notes:
Formerly Guinness Blonde American Lager
Irish tradition meets American spirit in Guinness Blonde American lager. Complex and flavorful. Light, floral and alive with citrus. This beer is perfectly balanced with a lingering malt and biscuity finish. It’s the coming together of vibrant flavors, of character drawn from both sides of the pond. And it’s come a long way to get here.

This beer is still being brewed. I work at Phillips Seafood in the Baltimore inner harbor and the local Guinness in Baltimore still sends us kegs every week. We had it today!

Thang goodness they don't brew this swill anymore!
Nothing like the Guinness Gold from long ago.
That was not too bad, tasting like a Guinness light.
This beer was just bad.

12oz bottle poured in to a nonic glass.
Look- Clear golden amber color. modest bright white head that recedes quickly to a thin ring of foam, faint lacing. moderate carbonation streams visible.
Smell- Caramel malt, some light orange and floral/grassy hop notes.
Taste- Similar to the aroma with some light generic fruit and spice in the mix, fairly sweet. Pretty well balanced.
Feel- Pretty thin bodied and pretty crisp. Light carbonation on the tongue.
O- A local grocery store had this on sale left over from St. Paddy's Day so I thought I'd give it a shot. Rather mundane overall, not bad but nothing very good either.

Pretty run of the mill mass brewed blonde beer. To the guy a few reviews below who said this tastes like a grapefruit IPA... you might need to get your mental and tastebuds checked. Tiny bit of hop bite but other than that its your average blonde. Would drink it again with gusto but won't purchase.

Poured from 12oz can into a pint glass. Pours a clear, golden color with a decent white head. Smells sweet, floral notes. Mouthfeel is a bit prickly with medium carbonation. Very light lacing as you suck it down, nothing too crazy. But the taste really does it for me. Very refreshing, crisp american-style lager that goes down easy. A superior bud light or budweiser, if you will - definitely pick this any day of the week. Not very hoppy, very faint citrus taste making it an easy go to for any occasion. Good quality, not a superstar or world-class lager, but I would definitely pick this beer up again.

Had this on draft as part of a Happy Hour special, it was between either this or Yuengling.
Golden color with a soft foamy head. The taste starts like a typical European lager, somewhat bready and slightly sweet, solid mouthfeel. Then the surprise: some floral, citrusy modern hops perk up right before the swallow, helping the beer finish crisp.
A solid lager with an interesting, slightly hoppy twist that is not too excessive nor obvious.

Out the bottle into a whisky glass. No pretense here, let's do the dang thing
Looks like a decent ale, rim of foam that sticks around. Smells like a near-beer version of malt liquor... i.e. not good. Taste has spice and harsh tones off the top, not what I expected. There's toasted grains, hops and adjunct junk, all combining into some kinda Frankenstein monster brew. The results are mixed..
This seems like a good beer to entice a budweiser drinking friend into trying more craft brews. Crushable, no off-tones when cold, some decent flavor tucked away in there as well. All in all it's not something I'd seek out, but I wouldn't mind seeing it in a cooler again

It is what it is. A crisp lager.
One finger head. Clear straw gold color. Strong toasty, cereal overtones. Low bitterness; medium carbonation. A bit of a 'wooden' finish which brought this down a notch but overall a decent enough session.

Ruined by a recipe change after changing brewing location. This used to be one of my favourite medium lagers, but now it tastes like a grapefruit seltzer I.Pee.A which something we just don't need another of here in the United States. I don't like wasting money on a 6 pack, but I don't have any enemies I can gift the remaining 5 bottles to. Guinness' integrity went down one notch so I'll have to keep a close eye on other 'improvements' to their ales.

I don't know how to explain this but to me it's comparable to a very high quality budweiser. For someone who loves a good lager, this beer hits the spot; its not too filling and not too hoppy. It makes me want to go to a baseball game.

Appearance: Pours a deep yellow color that is clear and richly golden. A mild white head. SRM of 10. (3.75)
Aroma: Fairly strong aromas of orange citrus and some slight tropical melon and ripe pineapple. Some orange candy sweetness to finish. (4.00)
Flavor: Flavor is lighter. More orange citrus. Some light grape and bubblegum. A touch of pear. I detect a Belgian yeast presence. Finishes light and slightly sweet. (3.75)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Strongly carbonated. Feels very much like a saison on the mouthfeel, but it's smoother and not as crisp. Very much like champagne. (3.50)
Overall: I had read previous reviews of too much carbonation. I was expecting a sweet and creamy beer, but this is not that. Rather it has a nice orange hop profile and a Belgian-type yeast presence. It also finishes slightly sweeter, yet strong carbonation. Very much feels like champagne. If I had to guess I would have put this in an ale category as a American pale ale or Belgian-like Saison. It's a decent beer though. (Final Rating: 3.74)

I like regular Guinness stout, but *this stuff looks like whats floating around in a stopped up public urinal and smells probably about the same. Tastes WEIRD..and disgusting with with some over ripe grapefruit and a rank aftertaste of deer corn and granulated sugar or cheap diabetic pancake syrup- toss in a couple of 1946 circulated pennies for some grungy copper metallic flavor and thin it out with some water from the East River . I find it offensive in every respect and I wouldn't drink it again if it was free let alone 10+ bucks at Specs.. Right proper pig swill.
