Really? This is a Guinness product? The first time I drank one I thought the there had to be an issue with the carbonation in the batch (a four pack) that I bought. But unfortunately there wasn't....that is how it was supposed to taste. FLAT! So if FLAT, BLAND, FLAVOR-LESS beer is your thing here is YOUR beer. As for me....I'll pass!

Notes from early 2011. 1 Pint draft.

This beer differs from Guinness Draught in that the barley used is lightly roasted, basically a more watery version of Guinness Draught, rather bland really, some caramel & malt but almost like someone actually diluted it with water, I only agree because I don’t like regular Guinness, so less flavour is not that terrible to me but this is pointless really, if you don’t like Guinness but you feel the strange obligation to drink it, you want to try this but that is just weird. I wasn’t surprised that after the initial market tests in some pubs, production of this beer stoped & they never saw it again. I suppose they tried to market a Guinness with lower production costs & it didn’t work out. End of story.

looks and smells just like regular guinness draught. but where is the taste? take out the little bit of bitterness that draught already has and lighten up the roasty flavor and this is what you get. absolutely nothing! i dont understand the belief that guinness draught is too strong, because thats really not the case. this is not a stout! this is liquid dessert with no taste. not drinkable, at least not worth your money drinkable.

Appearance: Deep reddish amber, with a modest tan dead, thin glass-coating lacing, slight carbonation.

Aroma: Lots of roasted malt, cold coffee, roasted malt, and caramel.

Taste: Opens with roasted malts, as the taste progresses, a bit of nuttiness appears. Later in the taste, there are bready and toasted malts. Finishes with a lingering, mild charred malt note.

Mouth feel: A bit thin, but very smooth and soft.

Drinkability/notes: Pleasant and drinkable, its not Guinness, but it is not bad, either.

Presentation: Packaged in a fourteen point nine ounce nitro can with a nitro capsule, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice,
