Refreshing, toasty and bitter at the same time. It has a strong baking cocoa kind of flavor and a pleasantly bitter char/smoke aftertaste, but the finish is crisp and clean, it's not heavy like I would have expected. Guinness is hit or miss for me but I really like this one!

Would have benefited from being nitrogenated, the dry stout didn’t have the full creamy feel I was expecting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stronger flavor than original and I prefer it that way. Chocolate-y dark coffee flavor. Can't go wrong with this.

I have been drinking this for years but a review update needed. It pours rich and dense tan head not but but compact and tight. The taste at first is of a bit sweet Liquorice and cherryish. The feel is most powerful without being too sweet or overpowering finish. One of the best beers to just swish around in the mouth and capture the flavor. It actually works on a hot day or cold depending on the palate need at the time. Years ago I remember the ABV being 6% but clearly is 5.6 now. I would like to know the story and if I am correct. The beer is just wonderful and sometimes overlooked by all the micros. A true classis I alwasy have on hand.
