I am not a beer expert. I just like to drink beer. This beer taste like old lady perfume. It is horrible. I bought an 8 pack of imported beers. I drank a partial can of this and threw out the rest. I only opened the second can so I could rate it. Nasty stuff.

Smithwicks Pale Ale pours a straw like golden color, with a nice long lasting head. There is a very pale skunk aroma. The taste is very light, pale malty flavors, skunk notes, and very "chemically." Not very good flavors, and light (lucky). Overall it looks nice, but tastes like a adjunct. There is worse out there.

500ml from Asda:
Golden with a bubbly, one centimetre tall head on top that has okay retention.

Grainy with a lot of lager hops and some lighter, grassy ones. There is some sweet malts too and various adjuncts with a sweet, almost honey like aroma following this.

Corn, some light hops and sweet lager malts with some corn and a hint of honey. This was a fairly bland and basic tasting beer & certainly not a craft one.

Very tangy with a lot of carbonation and a light body. There is a definite lager feel to the beer and it is fairly bland.

This one tastes cheap and standard and certainly isn't worth picking up, other than malts and a slight hint of honey it had nothing to offer so give it a miss.

Pours a half finger of head on a clear golden body.
The aroma is mild, dry grain.
The taste is mild overall: honey and a little metallic bitterness.
The texture is crisp and fizzy.
Not that great.

Bought this in a mixed eight pack of cans - Guinness Black Lager and Irish Stout, Smithwick Irish Red and Pale Ale.

A: Pours and orange/gold with a one finger head into a tulip. The head dissipates quickly and leave little to no lacing behind.

S: Slight hint of hops.

T: This one has a sort of odd taste to me.

M: Very light body.

O: This won't be a repeat purchase for me. There are just too many Pale Ales that I like more than this one.

Poured from a can into a pint glass.

Appearance: Pale amber color with a thin white head. No lacing.

Smell: Mild hops and citrus.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth light bodied. Taste of bitter hops and it has a strong metallic after taste, most likely from being in a can I assume.

Overall: It was ok, nothing special. I probably would not waste my money on this one again.
