330ml brown bottle poured into a Guinness 'draught' pint pot.

A. Pure black with a mid-brown bubbly, towering head.

S. Roasted malt, some woody tones. Maybe some liquorice and some coffee too.

T. Black coffee, chocolate, roast malt, treacle.

M. Medium, mouth coating.

D. Far more satisfying than the ordinary 'black stuff', lots more character.

Pours a jet black with a khaki head that recedes quickly, smell is of roasted malt, slight smoke. Taste is dark chocolate roasted malt and slight coffee. Took me a while to finally try this one, light years ahead of the draught. Very happy to have this on a fine St. Pattys day!

Pours the darkest of browns, quiet as it comes out of the bottle; a thick slow forming but very dense light brown head rises and sticks around for an eternity, big amounts of lacing to top it off.

The little sour note that graces Guinness jumps out of this glass first; there is a nice amount of roasted malt and dark fruit, I almost perceive it as cranberry like from the acidic note.

Taste; the roasted malt is much more dominant than the nose suggests, a light twangy sweetness coats the tongue, chalky little chocolate notes on the finish as well as a little lingering roast.

Medium body; but on the bigger end, remarkably smooth and creamy feeling, nice dash of bitterness on the finish, slightest nasal warming from the abv.

This beer is very enjoyable, it’s like sipping on an imperial stout that’s not high in alcohol, is how I would describe this beer. Its feel, richness and smoothness give it that impression.

Black with tan head. Aroma is some intense dark fruit and chocolate. Taste is similar to nose but there's an extremely dry roastiness, especially in the finish, that doesn't do the beer any favors. It could use a bit of sweetness. Body is somewhat thin. Interesting but too dry for my taste.

This is one of my favorites. The smell and taste of this beer is outstanding. The effort put into the brewing process shines through in this beer, whoever brews this has every right to be proud of themselves and their craft.

Guiness is one of my favorite breweries. Bittersweet chocolate, malt, and still highly drinkable. The higher abv makes the flavors pop. I highly recommend this one.

Look: jet black pour with nice carbonation rising to the top.
Smell: Getting aromas of toffee, burnt brown sugar, dark malts, molasses, bakers chocolate, figs, black cherries. Smells delicious!!
Taste: Definitely not as sweet as I thought but getting that burnt brown sugar with toffee, dark fruits such as figs, slight brown malts, bakers chocolate. Resembles the nose quite well!
Feel: This is a medium heavy to heavy bodied beer. This isn’t oily at all which is quite nice, just smooth and slick.
Overall: By far the best Guinness out there. Has the body to back up a stout and the flavor that leads you to discovering a new element in every taste. Very nice!!

Been a while since I had this one, and I think that was straight from the bottle. This time was 11.2 oz bottle poured into tulip glass.

Pour is a beautiful reddish black and big light tan head. Excellent lacing on this one.

Smell is brilliant dark roasted malt, almost has a sweet smoke aroma going on. Bittersweet chocolate, slight coffee, and hint of tobacco even. Decent aroma, but could probably be stronger.

Taste is decadent dark chocolate with hints of milk chocolate. Sweetness is decidedly present, but not cloying or artificial like a bad milk stout. Very earthy from the sturdy British hops, adds some bitterness to be sure but not in the pungent way of American hops, more subtle. Slight smokiness on the finish makes it a lovely fall or winter beer.

Feel is rich and full, but not syrupy due to the substantial carbonation. More like a rich hot chocolate or dark coffee than an oily imperial stout. A little sticky on the finish, but it almost doesn't matter.

Completely approachable yet rich and full of flavor, this is the best European Stout out there by my estimation. If you find American Stouts too bitter, give this a try. This is one of those staple beers that people who "don't like beer," need to try. I pray Guinness never stops making this regularly, it's their best beer by far. Better than I remembered, and really better than it has any right to be for a Guinness.

This is most likely the best alcoholic beverage l have ever had!
It a jet black Guinness stout nitro on steroids with a creamy frothy head and lacing that lasts.
The aroma is of coffee, dark chocolate raisins figs.
The taste same as above but much better, as the brew warms up.
The feel is very unique and of the highest quality with a slightly bitter sweet and just a tad of a boozy finish!
Overall the best beer l have ever had!!!

Best stout out there. Hits all the right notes with coffee chocolate flavor taste thruout. Well done but now put it in a 12 oz bottle.

Huge fan of Guinness, but the foreign extra stout takes it over the top. Great pour with a great taste, not to bitter in my opinion. My go to Guinness
