Pours deep chocolate brown with a dense, foamy head and wonderful lacing. Chocolate and vanilla nose, but with something a little funky hanging about. Flavors are licorice, raisins and roasted hops, fairly sweet but with a lingering bitterness that actually blends in pretty nicely with the whole. Very complex flavor, more so than the standard Guinness brew. I can't say that I love it, but it certainly is an interesting experience, which is a net positive in my book. Mouth feel is really slick and fits the flavors well. Again, not something I would have listed as a desire, but it kind of works with everything else going on in here.

Nice dark appearance and an aroma that is also pleasant. This is a far improvement over other Guinness beers with the exception of drafts that are obtained in the U.K.

This is a very deep roasted, cocoa, coffee, blast to the palette. Don't forget the hop bitters, because they are certainly there too!

This beer is inky black and pours with a beautiful head. Just absolutely perfect looking.

I'm not a huge stout fan but I thought it was pretty decent. The bitterness was something that I wasn't expecting. I'm not big on bitters. This is a beer that a man with a full beard and an axe drinks while cutting down trees for fire wood on a cool fall day. haha.

Smells like a mix of chocolate and twangy tobacco, with fruity (dare I say) tropical hops. Nose is actually somewhat mild, but an interesting hint of things to come.

Tastes twangy with fruit and tobacco up front, then milk chocolate mid palate and a creamy finish. Stiff hop profile reads almost like a black IPA at times, but there's no getting around the signature Guinness roasty twang and creaminess. Good brew.
