For all intents and purposes, this beer is black. Straight black. Looks great with a two-fingered head of light tan. Lacing is exquisite. Sticky foam behaving nicely. Retention is excellent. Even after minutes, I still have a dimply head with height.

Deep Euro malt stout roastiness with a touch of the sweet. Lightly charred with a kiss of peat smoke and notes of mucky coffee; still has that Irish Dry background note with earthiness and mineral water. Some lost ripe fruitiness that I don’t want to forget about. Not too shabby.

Rich Export Stout roast, spent coffee grounds, alkaline bitterness, barley grain, smokiness, earthy hops, cocoa, and a trace of cedary goodness. Has a zappy finish that I like, full of malt bitterness and leftover hop kissing. A slight touch of caramel malt graces the flavor profile with a succulence. The smoke makes it, in my opinion.

Easy drinking, I’d say. The body is sturdy. Medium, I’d say, but spot-on. Expertly carbonated, if not a tad biting. Ruffled, in a good way.

Hey man, Guinness makes a hell of an Export Stout. I can’t believe this is my first go-around. I will probably have to nab this from time-to-time to satiate my desire for a good stout, which this is.

Thank you, Guinness, for this Guinness on steroids. Really this is all I ever wanted from them in regards to flavor. Extra hops, malts, and alcohol.

A - Pours deep, cloudy brown body with a 2-3 finger sticky, foamy tan head that retains for a solid 5 minutes without being touched. You don't get that rush of bubbles coming from the bottom of the glass that turns the beer from light to dark brown like you do from the nitro can/bottle

S - Chocolate and coffee from a sturdy malt backbone. Just a small whiff of alcohol when the beer is swirled. Sweet smell with a bitter dark chocolate linger

T&M - Again, what I always wished Guinness Stout was. It's like an upgrade. Very much like the smell, the chocolate is the first sensation I get followed by coffee once swallowed. A bit sweet from the malts and alcohol but a nice hop bitterness lingers above the sweetness.

I'm not quite sure how to describe this beer. It's like Guinness bet yet very different. The flavor is similar to your standard Guinness Stout minus the typical chocolate malt flavor. Instead you get a bit more hops. It's actually rather pleasant and unexpected. Also, the alcohol content is quite a bit higher compared to Guinness. I had no idea, until I started to get rather buzzed after 1 beer, then I read the label and noticed the higher alcohol content.

Pours a dark brown with a thin foamy head. It doesn't stay for long, and there's little lacing on the glass. Smells of chocolate, malt and bread. Big taste of coffee, chocolate, dark fruit and licorice. A bit of bitterness. Medium mouth with some oil. Just a nice solid stout.

Just over a finger of firm dark brown head; good retention and thick sticky lacing. Expected black brew, a little on the light and clear side.

Good stout aroma: creamy, thick roasted barley, boozy grapes, earthy hops.

Balanced flavor, follows the nose: thick barley, good roasted character, powdery cacao, slight sour milk flavor. Nice hoppy balance.

Full mouthfeel, but not quite chewy. Good balance with both hop and roast bite. Cloying and long finish.

This is quite good, certainly better than the standard Guinness "draught." Not quite on par with the better American stouts, and the sourness is a little off-putting.
