A: Dark, onyx with a creamy white head. Great looking beer.

S: Not strongly aromatic like some stouts/porters, but faint hints of chocolate and toffee

T: Rich with notes of chocolate, coffee and toast

M: This really elevates Guinness for me - excellent, smooth mouthfeel, not too thick or thin, just right

O: This is my go - to at bars when they have limited selection of drafts or craft brews - especially when you know they will give you the proper 2 part draught pour to ensure an extra creamy head.

Poured a pitch black color with two fingers of tan head when I got it. A good amount of layered foamy lacing along the sides. Perfect retention on the top.

Smelled coffee, dark chocolate, roasty nuts, bitterness, chocolate milk, caramel and toffee.

The taste wasn’t as flavorful as the nose. Bitter coffee, roasted nuts, dark chocolate and toffee.

Full body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter, dry finish. Not as thick as I remember it.

A pretty good beer for the style and probably even the flagship one.

Had this on tap at the Ginger Man in Fort Worth.

Appearance, a perfect dark rich black, not able to see through the glass at all. A finger thick head with beautiful lacing.

Smell, the tried and true rich toffee, coffee and bread smell.

Taste, smooth and rich with hints of coffee, chocolate, & carmel.

Mouthfeel a nice smooth almost no carbonation.

I must be honest Guinness Draught on tap is my unicorn. Mysterious, beautiful and unfairly better than most beers.
