Nitro can, one of the only beers I feel is valid to have nitro, and can is neat too. It's the end of stout season, so time to kill the remaining stouts as all the IPAs, saisons, and spring ales roll in.

The anticipation as the upside-down waterfall slowly radiates upwards... eventually settling on a huge creamy foamy 1.5 finger rich head that never seems to fade, lots of lacing all over too a thick white frothy completely covered lacing, over a very dark but somewhat clear mahogany dark brown with a nice ruby hue.

Nose has some nitro but not as much as I expected, a mild dark malt, creamy dark malt, as well as some toasty reddish malts, caramel, coppery malt notes, hint of a creamy cocoa like. but not much else, pretty light as expected.

Taste comes on creamy again, lots of nitro again, but this time more malty flavors, candy malt with a little caramel and reddish syrup candy without the syrup, as well as some Belgian-flavored amber malts, almost like a Belgian amber ale underneath, toasty reddish coppery malts, with a hint of a dark malt character, and touch of a creamy chocolate, mild biscuit note too. A hint of bitterness in there, I think more from the dark malts than any actual hops. Finish is sticky and just sticks all over the mouth, drier though, with a little bitterness, more dark malts and creamy flavors lingering.

Mouth is med bod, creamy, but not much for carbonation despite the widget and upside down waterfall.

Overall meh, wasn't expecting much, and that's about what I got. Just a lighter version of regular Guinness with a little toasty reddish malt and caramel coppery malt notes, pretty bland overall.

A - good head nice clingy lacing. Dark body but way too high clarity.

S - what smell? Aeresol and left over cereal milk.

T - kind of like a poor man's black and tan. Weaker than regular guineas but similar.

M - too thin. Too watery.

D - a disappointment. I won't be looking for this next fall.

Poured a deep red with a one-finger fluffy off-white head that left abundant lacing. Also poured with a nice nitro-cascade. Quite good looking, the best element of the beer. Scents of toasted malt, some roasted malt and a faint fruitiness. The aroma is quite weak however, and very difficult to pick out anything standout. Not an unpleasant aroma, but nothing amazing. Flavor begins with toasted and roasted malt, bitterness from roasted malt. A bit of grassiness in the middle, alongside some faint caramel. The finish is a bit bitter with some metallic off-flavors. This carries into the aftertaste. The flavor is similar to the typical Guinness flavor, with just a bit more caramel. Its nothing amazing, but its not bad either. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, with low carbonation, and a slightly watery feel. About what you'd expect from a nitro Guinness. Overall its not a bad beer, but it doesn't drink like a stout. Its more of a red ale, not what I was expecting. Its still good and I am glad I got to try it.

A - Black with reddish tints with a nice fluffy mocha head with good retention and stick.

S - A weak nose on this - some malts, fruity, cherries.

T - Malt forward, chocolate, bitter dry finish. Medium bodied.

O - This was okay - nice and easy to drink brew with a good mouth feel.
