Red raspberry juice is infused into this intense lager beer. A delicate chocolate-like aroma gives way to a wonderful balance of sweet malt and tart fruit.

Pours a brownish red with no head. Has a cherry and licorice smell to it. Very strong raspberry tastes and light sweetness along strong alcohol presence.

A pretty reddish-burnt orange color with virtually no head despite a hard pour. Ice aroma, lots of berries & fruity. Taste: sour & bitter. Flavors: raspberry, dry fruit, a hint of chocolate, malted grain & lots of alcohol. Very low carbonation but plenty of alcohol heat, medium viscosity. Overall: a disappointment. The lack of any sweetness is a dealbreaker for me. I’m tempted to dump in a tablespoon of sugar.

Mahogany color. Medium-sized, off-white head. Caramel malt, raspberry, chocolate, and dried fruits in the aroma. Malty, rich, and warming taste. An interesting Eisbock.

2023 Vintage. Pours a super dark cherry red, slightly muddy, with very little head formation and no lacing. Nose is big notes of raspberry jam, sweet cough syrup, light cocoa; overall, however, jammy berry notes are dominant. Taste is remarkably light and really hides its alcohol. Fresh, bright raspberries, maybe slightly overripe with moderate sweetness; only a touch of tartness; slightly bitter, alkaline backbone, touch of earthiness and noble hop, maybe some rye spice as well. Feel is on the light side as well with rather small but creamy carbonation. I had been excited to try this for some time and it really exceeded expectations.

Pours a lovely raspberry-hued brown with a half-finger of tan head that quickly settles into a wisp and crown that leaves fairly solid lacing.

Huge raspberry dominates the aroma not leaving much else poking through. If pressed, a distant hint of forest rot can be found far beneath, but the nose is really all about that berry juice.

The taste, on the other hand, is a revelation. Huge alcohol slaps you in the face, with shoe leather, earthy bitterness, molasses, rot and cough syrup, and the raspberry explosion from the nose just along for the ride.

The feel is also exceptionally slick. The soft, but lively carbonation contained within the liquid slides around within one’s mouth unexpectedly.

It’s rare to find a beer that’s supremely well crafted, delicious and unique. This one deserves the accolades it’s received and is, perhaps, underrated. One of the most exceptional beverages I’ve tasted.

I really enjoyed this. Very strong berry scents and flavors. Bock character is still there, with a slightly malty undertone. Has a slightly thick syrupy body like a bock as well. Reminiscent of a cough syrup, but a really tasty one with strong alcohol presence.
