A perfect autumnal seasonal brew by the brothers Kuhnhenn.

Dangerously tasty. Pours a hazy deep amber in color with a fair off-white head that left only swirls as it fizzled down. Nose is powerful! Nutmeg and pumpkin, smells of pumpkin bread or spice cake. I could hold my nose to this and be happy, but no, I'm lucky; I get to drink it. Taste is very full and rich. Pumpkin pie, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice extremely tasty, this is hands down the best pumpkin beer I've ever had. I will definatly be back for more. Mouthfeel has lots of body but isn't over the top making it easily sessionable.

A wicked autumn brew, don't miss this one lads.

just finished a growler at a halloween party

appearance - poured a golden amber, hard to properly judge with low light

smell - smelled of pumpkin pie, strong doughy scent, with pleasant pumpkin pie spice, decent cinnamon and decent clove/nutmeg mix

taste - delicious, taste up front of a nice doughy almost fresh bread flavor, moved into the exact flavor of pumpkin pie and finished with a nice maltyness that reminded me i was drinking a beer

mouthfeel - full in the front moved to a chewy feel and finished leaving me wanting to take another sip

drinkability - scary drinkability at 7% i had an entire growler minus a few small tastes to others, got me through my social anxieties at a party and made me wish i had another growler

over all this was an great beer, far better than i remembered it tasting last year, better than any other pumpkin beer i had this year

A: The ale came to me in a regular beer mug. It has a copper-ish gold hue to it with a decent head on it. The head seemed airy and light, not very thick at all.

S: Exceptional. It smelled like there was a huge plate of pumpkin pie under my nose every time I inhaled deep. A plethora of spices intrigued me. Cinnamon and nutmeg were there?

T: This beer is quite possibly the best Pumpkin Ale I have had in a very long time. I could drink this all day. They nailed it on the head. This tasted just like I was eating a slice of moms homemade pumpkin pie.

M: It felt a little carbonated. Not exactly smooth but very enjoyable. It almost felt like there were a very small amount of pop rocks in my mouth.

D: I would have this drink over and over again if it were possible. I had this drink at least twice during every visit while it was still in stock. I should have picked up many growler of this when I had the chance. Maybe next year!

Seemed even better than the on-tap version. It may be my imagination, but it seems significantly darker than the draught brew. Still forms a nice off-white head that gives off a doozy of an aroma. Powered by all the usual spices -- nutmeg, quite notably. Exotic flowershop fragrances. Pumpkin pie beer. Still an incredibly tasty beer, but the sweetness, while still thick, is a slightly flatter version of its draught self. Makes it that much more drinkable. I had 3 during the Michigan-OSU game.

Many thanks to Devin for the opportunity to sample this beauty.

The beer pours the expected pumpkin orange color, with pretty good head retention and lacing. On the nose... good lord. This beer is an absolute spice bomb, showcasing a boatload of cinnamon, allspice, brown sugar, vanilla, and something of a warm cider aroma. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, and tastes like a creamy slice of pumpkin pie. Amazingly, this beer has at most moderate sweetness, with the spice keeping the sweetness in check very nicely. Mouthfeel is actually fairly light and a bit thin, but with an otherwise creamy texture that is impressive. There's even something of graham cracker flavor about this beer that is impressive. Drinkability is pretty damn good for a pumpkin beer, with the alcohol completely unnoticeable and the sweetness nicely tamed.

If there are better pumpkin beers out there, please point me to them. I'm generally not a big fan of the style, but I could drink this all day. Very, very impressive.

Impeccably balanced to taste like pumpkin pie, the kind I would imagine might be baked on a Vermont commune.
Generously sweet and decidedly spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and pepper (yeast), there is even a distinct image of buttery pie crust. The texture is smooth. The color is bronze/orange.
Fantastic. My favorite Pumpkin beer to date, though a little sugary to make it a staple brew.

This beer pours out a clear orange color. A small off-white head crowns it, showing moderation in retention and the spotty lacing left behind.
This beer has lots of nutmeg spiciness in the aroma but leaves no room to question that it is a beer. There's lots of pumpkin flesh under the spices, which don't add too much harshness or sweetness, and a solid hops presence is also here.
The same can be said of the flavor, and hops and malts are here but allow for pumpkin flesh and spices to take the stage. None of the spicy or sweet aspects are intrusive and there's great balance as a result.
The feel is good, about a medium body to this brew with a medium carbonation allowing for some crispness and smoothness to mingle.
This is a greatly balanced pumpkin and one of the better ones out there for the cooperation in variety of contributors in the aromas and flavors.

Thank you, Devin. This is probably the second best pumpkin beer I've had, after T.R.E.A.T from Midnight Sun.

A nice, copper colored beer with a dense, white head that falls off to a ring rather quick, this looks great. The nose is really dynamic. Opening with a SERIOUS cinnamon brown sugar character, this evolves to a very fruity, cidery character with an almost cooked apple character. As it warms, it becomes more banana bread-like. I can't say I get much pumpkin flavor, just the cinnamon and just a little allspice. Outstanding and unique, this is great stuff.

After the nose, the palate is almost disappointing. Initially, this feels like it's not sweet enough. This, however, allows the pumpkin flavor to come through. This is a lot more subtle and delicate than the nose would have you believe. Moderate cinnamon, a little brown sugar , just a little allspice. The more I drink it, the more it makes me think of T.R.E.A.T. without the cocoa. Light in body with moderate carbonation, the finish is drying and spice with cinnamon, brown sugar and vanilla. Delicate and wonderful, apart from just a little watery character on the mid-palate, this is perfect. Very drinkable.
