Pours dark brown with little to no head. A red hue. Very mysterious.

Smells very original and wonderful. Roasted malt, toasted marshmallow (actually comes through as advertised), caramel, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, oak....Wow! This smells incredible.

This is such an incredible beer. Some much oak, bourbon, vanilla, toffee, and marshmallow. Truly original. Enormous flavor. I'm really taken back by this. Definitely some heat on the back end. Also notice some dark red fruits. They are not overwhelming, but a nice complement. These flavors add a little acidity, though, which I could do without.

Low-medium carbonation and a medium mouthfeel. With a little heavier mouthfeel and a creamier texture, this would have been near perfect. Still, this is such a small critique.

Overall, this has been one of the most unique beers I have had in a while. It has a huge flavor which is extremely well executed. Kuhnhenn also managed to tease out some awesome flavors not terribly common in BA stouts (opposed to this old ale). I might have to seek out more of this. Very very well done!!!
