A very hoppy citrus nose leads this beer, with low malt and high hops in flavor. The Belgian yeast leaves the palate creamy instead of dry. This is an awe-some beer for Belgian and hop fans alike.

Okay but not the greatest, really hoppy nose and taste which is good but not balanced by thebelgian imperialness.

Not a style I tend to go for too often, but a fun one to try. Why on earth its abv was this high is beyond me - Kuhnhenn can certainly justify it for their meads, braggots, old ales, eisbocks, and barleywines, but I was surprised to see it in this beer particularly. That high alcohol content is certainly masked by the belgian and hop elements, but the beer doesn't gel enough as a cohesive whole to make it one I'd order again.

Poured into a snifter it has a a red body with a 1 and a half inch thick head. Smell of bready malt, citrus, earth, orange, and grass. Taste is citrus, orange, apricot, some belgian esters, grass, and earth. Mouth feel is moderate with a crisp moderate to full body. A interesting ale, not bad but not great.
