The little brother to DRIPA, this lower-alcohol, sessionable IPA features the same bright citrus intensity in the aroma with a lighter mouthfeel and a classic dry finish. If you like DRIPA and want to last all day, you need The Fluffer.

A session version of the DRIPA. Definitely low ABV but a shadow of its much bigger brother. I drank a Fluffer after having the DRIPA. The Fluffer suffers in comparison. Nice lacing. Almost looks the same except presented in a nonic pint glass.

On tap at Mex in Bloomfield Hills. Working from memory...
Pour: Pint glass. Slightly hazy golden color. 2 finger white foam head that held on well into the drinking. Lots of lacing. Very attractive.
Nose: subtle citrus and sugar. Not as strong as the description implies but very pleasant.
Taste: fruity hops upfront. Some sugar or malt sweetness but not cloying at all. Slight bitterness on the backend with a clean finish as described. Went great with chorizo tacos!
Mouthfeel: fairly high carbonation, plenty of fullness. Satisfying with a clean crisp finish.
Overall: this was great with spicy food and would be very enjoyable with most any food or alone. Would definitely buy again.

a well hopped and very drinkable session ipa, different than many in several respects. its light on the malt but not watery, golden in color, dry, and still quite flavorful. its light there on purpose and it makes sense. the hops are still really intense, very much west coasty, oily, and bitter. resinous and piney for me, with a long lingering punch on the finish, orange peel and grapefruit notes to this as well. i like that its still bitter, so many of these just go for the dry hop juicy thing, and we end up not really having an ipa at all, so this smartly avoids that. it also tastes kind of classic to me on the hops, maybe simcoe and cascade or something, vegetal and fresh, very northwestern, and well dosed. i could drink a lot of this, but its not quite as easy going as a lot of session beers are. its more like a low alcohol normal ipa than it is reduced in any way other than the strength. i alway enjoy drinking new beers from these guys, somehow still under the radar it seems after all these great beers...

The appearance was a slightly clear yellow body, one finger white foamy head that lasts for a good full minute before dieing, moderate carbonation is seen rising. The smell had zesty hops up front with a nice light citrusy punch trying to come through, light malt presence. The taste was spicy yet somewhat sweet, light malt presence comes in there, spicy aftertaste, dry finish. The palate sat about a light to medium, sessionable, adequate carbonation for the style and for me. Overall, this is a good spicy AIPA that I would have again.

On tap at Blu Wolf Bistro in Rochester, NY.
This pours a clear light golden amber, with a small head and lots of lacing.
This smells like crackery mlt, clean pine, grassiness, floral aromas, and a hint of soap.
This is quite dry, with very little fruity hop flavor. There's a snap of sturdy crackery malt, upon which clean grassy and piney hops are laid down. There's a little bit of perfume/soap on the finish, but it's nothing crazy. There's almost an entire lack of sweetness here.
This is very dry and very crisp in the body, with a good level of carbonation, and an unsurprisingly light body.
I don't really like session IPAs, but this is quite good for the style. I could see getting this one again.
