Finally stopped by this place on a Saturday night in March. Pretty busy inside as there was a charity chili cook-off going on. We eventually got a table in the middle of the place. Had a slight "under construction" feel, but was pretty cozy and inviting. Only one bathroom (unisex) and a decent-sized bar. Behind the bar you can see lots of brewing equipment and it almost spills over into the seating area.

Spotty waiting service, but great service at the bar. It was a busy night, so we weren't too impatient. Was excited to try some new Kuhnhenn brews, and they had a couple I hadn't tried at fests or Ashley's, but I was hoping for more. Overall they had 7 brews on tap and a few (KRE) in bottles. All the beers we tried were excellent, especially the Aldebaran and the Prometheus. Didn't have any of the few items of food they offered, but we did have a bunch of great chili thanks to the cook-off/fundraiser participants! Also, we learned that you could bring in your own food or have other food delivered.

All in all a cool place, and I'll be back (I just hope they have a few more beers on tap!).

Stopped in here one afternoon fairly early on a Saturday before a high school reunion that I wasn't looking forward to and enjoyed myself enough to actually have fun at the reunion. Staff while not stars on the paying attention to customers they were very knowledgeable. Had the sampler and each one was well described. Good beers and will definitely return next time I am back in town!

I like that this place doesn't try to be anything more than a focus beer hall. Yes, they serve basic bar snacks, which I've never tried, and often have a food truck available outside, but I like that it primarily stays focused on the beer. Less can absolutely be more and Kuhnhenn does it right.

While we've never had great service here, even sitting in the horseshoe around the taps, it's never been awful either. They could exercise a little Dale Carnegie and just be friendlier and perhaps quicker to suggest an offering.

I can't say that the beer is phenomenal but I will say it is very good. I've tried about a dozen different beers here and only found one that I didn't care for--a fruit based beer but I've determined that the style was good and that I don't enjoy fruit beers. The Penetration Porter and the Creme Brule Java Stout were very good but I think where Kuhnhenn really sets the mark is on their higher ABV brews. They pack a punch but anything they do with a bourbon barrel is stellar. I also think the Russian Imperial Stout, Solar Eclipse, and the Brown Ale, Double Nut Brown, are vastly underappreciated.

The DRIPA and Crème Brulee Java Stout are fantastic. Haven't had too many others that I would go out of my way to get.

Food selection is sub par but they do have an extensive beer, wine, and mead list to choose from.

Only downfall I've had here is that I have felt ignored by the staff numerous times. Although the Brewers are pretty cool guys and will go out of their way to show you the passion they have for the brews they make!

Stopped in here one evening during the week for a couple beers. This place is very loud and not all the tables were full of people. Sat at the bar and the bar tenders were just ok.
