Pours two fingers of head on a medium brown colored body.
The aroma is pine, chocolate and roasted malt. A wonderful mixture.
The taste is pine bitterness with roasted malt and dark chocolate rounding it out. The level of bitterness is uncharacteristic for the style but it fit well.
The texture is smooth with a crisp finish and moderate carbonation with a little fizz in the middle.
A great porter with a unique twist.

Poured into a Maudite snifter. Pours a dark reddish brown with a thin tan head that dissipates into a ring around the glass and thin film with some lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, toasted malt, a hint of chocolate and coffee. Flavor follows aroma with toasted malt, grassy hops and light coffee, finishing with light hops and coffee, slightly smoky. Medium bodied. A pleasant low key porter.

From the bottle to a tall pint glass, this one pours a muddy red-brown with thin brown head, it certainly is not the most appealing beer to look at. Smelled strongly of roast coffee and bitter chocolate, with a taste to match. Chocolate up front followed up by a bitter, burnt finish. Mouthfeel was certainly thin for a porter. If it was more acceptable, this would probably be a really nice beer to wake up and drink for breakfast.

A: Not black, but a dark dark opaque brown. Poured a 12oz bottle into a 12oz tulip glass. Very light head disappeared in the first minute after pouring.
S: Nice coffee smell with a bit of sweetness.
T: Extra rich roast and coffee flavor. Nice bitter sharpness rounds out the full flavor nicely. A bit of sweetness at the finish.
M: Starts off full and ends thin. A bit of a lingering aftertaste. Very very filling.
O: Pretty good, albeit a bit much for breakfast. A bit of a flat taste kind of detracted from the overall feel, but I really liked the coffee flavor.

Lightest porter I've ever seen. Tight wound full head with immense sticky lace. Deep russet with rich red, vibrant undertones.
Milk chocolatey with a whipped cream aroma. Huge cocoa and marshmallow. Almost like chocolate rice krispies or some sort of fake cereal chocolate aroma.
This beer is good but the lightest porter I may ever experience. The same chocolatey flavors described as above. A sout lactose on the finish. Thin with moderate sweetness and slight bitterness on the finish. Most quaffable porter in the world.

Pours a dark brown color with a 1 inch mocha head that sticks around.
Smell is interesting with dark malt and coffee, chocolate dominating, as well as a slight tartness in there as well.
Taste is more subdued than the nose with chocolate and coffee, dark fruits, and bitterness from hops.
Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, medium to light carbonation.
Overall a nice porter from a small local brewery.

I had this on tap at Concordia Ale House. It poured a dark brown color with red highlights and a off white head.
Lots of chocolate and some roast notes in the aroma.
The flavor was mostly bitter-sweet chocolate with hints of coffee in the the finish. It was nicely balanced and very drinkable.
Very well made beer. I want more.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Reviewed live.
A- Two finger khaki head with long retention. Fluffy head with tented, sticky lacing. Deep auburn color with thick particulate. Very cloudy. Strange looking porter.
S- Coffee, licorice, smoky. Burnt sort of smells. Odd.
T- Muddy flavors competing. Like bad coffee.
M- Thick, cloudy feel. Sticky linger.
O- Not a fan of this beer. Seems to be confused about what it wants to be.
