A dark amber pour, unusual for a west coast IPA in our experience. Moderate head, light lacing. This is not high on the list of those trendy citrus / fruity hop bombs so common nowadays. Good bitterness, with a lighter malt foundation. If I were to place it, it would be a British-style IPA.

Hazy, light copper color. Thin head, very little lacing. Aroma is stone fruit with yeast, bread, orange, and caramel malt. The flavor has some herbal and pine hops qualities. Big and dominant. Resinous, with a watery finish and thick mouthfeel. This was one of the earlier NW style IPAs with this kind of character, & I remember cutting my teeth on it. Good to revisit.

Pours a little dark, Good head, good lacing, tastes a little malty,
a decent beer, and a bit of a shift from the hop-end of the IPA spectrum.

Great example of a PNW IPA. I like it and would drink it again, especially if I could find it on tap. this is a pretty raw IPA in that the hops are front and there isn't much malt to taste, feel or smell. Fine by me. I actually like the hazy, cloudy look as that implies little filtering and processing. Personally CA and AZ IPA's are my favorite, but when in the PNW you should partake of what they make and this is an excellent and fine example.

Pours out a darkish amber, small foamy head, hops dominate, burying any malt characteristics. Biggest drawback for me was a dull metallic finish, and the flat hops bitterness obliterating any other flavors.

Nice feel, flavor not too complex, but solid.

Look- Very cloudy, with a lot of particles at the bottom. There was some solid matter floating in the head, too.

Smell- Always the hardest for me since I have a terrible sense of smell. The aromas were fine, if not prominent.

Taste- One of the best-tasting PNW IPAs I've had. Great hop character, excellent malt backbone. Really well balanced.

Feel- Nicely carbonated, with a very smooth finish. The solid matter took this down a notch.

Overall, a great Oregon IPA. I bought this from a co-op, so I'll have to get some more soon and see if the solid matter is common.
