Clear with strong haze and bubble presence. Bright copper. Well retaining, fine, slightly chunky, tan head. Extensive network of lace. Grain, bread, caramel, and resin aromas in the bottle. All of that in the glass, but spicier. Sweeter, raisiny as it sits. Tastes a bit tart, with caramel at first. Well balanced but a soily, metallic, vegetal, and just barely black pepper kick half way through, lasting well through the finish. Overall, quite dank in the back, but not enough of that fruitiness and black pepper I enjoy in an IPA. Very smooth, watery, medium-bodied, with low level of carbonation. Mouthfeel is a bit disappointing.

Dark orangey amber in the chalice. Slightly sweet with a plain malt taste. This is a rather bitter and woody brew but it has a nice malty undertone. It tastes dark to me, or do I mean darkly dank? Aftertaste is just too bitter for the lack of real hop flavor. From the 12 oz bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.

Poured draft. Dark orange and clear with an off white head. Floral and citrus aroma. Taste has a good servings of hops bitterness. Great mouthfeel, great beer
