Served in straight pint glass. Poured a medium-dark brown, with a slight orange tint, with a solid tan colored head that had great retention and decent lacing.

The aroma was malt dominant, not the hop forward blast you expect from the style. On the tongue, the malt sweetness was also forward. There was some hop bitterness at the back of the palate, but no real hop flavor.

The body was a bit above average fullness. While this beer was certainly drinkable, it wasn't anything special. If you see this brew, it's worth a shot. But don't go out of your way for it.

On-tap at Belmont Station in Portland, OR in a snifter.

appearance - pours amber, transparent, carbonation visible, good lacing and retention

smell - big malts, some hops

taste - very sweet malts, the hops must be hidden in the body

mouthfeel - medium bodied, good carbonation

drinkability - too much malt character like all of the others in this TG single hop series, really disappointing as I expected big hops
