I stopped in here for my second time this afternoon. I was hoping to pick up a six pack of Sac Brew's IPA, but [sigh] they were all out.

Freeway Bottle Shop is not an impressive store. Their craft beer selection is small and dominated by northern Californian breweries. Other American crafts from Shiner, Victory, Stone, Rogue, Alaskan, etc. are also available. Don't expect to find anything special or rare here; everything they carry is widely-distributed.

I was a bit concerned with the ages of some of the bottles. There were still several Christmas ales (like Santa's Private Reserve) being sold. These beers were kept in good condition though: refrigerated and away from the windows.

This is not a worthy stop unless you're heading north on I-5 to a valley town other than Redding or Chico.
