Beer poured a strong coffee color with a small tan head that disapates quickly. You get coconut and some vanilla like a coconut cream pie. The up front flavor is coconut with dark chocolate in the background but a little watered down. The feel is a little more carbonated than most cream stouts. Over not a bad beer.

Pours a dark brown with khaki colored head and LOTS of it. Took about 5 mins to finish the pour. Smell is off, synthetic like coconut and dare I say brett, but something is off. Took 2 sips and drain poured it. Terrible beer. It was off from pour to drain pour.

A: ½” light tan head. Fell quickly to a ring. Left little lacing along the glass. Near black body.

S: Coconut, vanilla, dark malts.

T: Bitter dark malts: coffee, dark chocolate, and roast – with some vanilla, sweetness, and coconut bringing balance.

M: Medium+ body. Medium-light carbonation. Somewhat smooth. Lightly bitter finish.

O: Alcohol hidden well. Nicely bitter. Nice brew.

22oz bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 7.99. No bottling date. Served in a goblet.

Gushes apon opening. Pours a deep cola brown with three fingers of tan head that fades amazingly fast. A thin halo of bubbles around the edge lingers as the brew continues fizzing throughout but leaves absolutely no lace.

True to the description I detect a rather pleasant toasted coconut and mild vanilla aroma. Also notes of cocoa, dark malt roastiness, faint dark fruit and a strange cola scent. Sweet overall and strangely appealing.

Interesting blend of flavors. Cocoa, toasted coconut, toast, mild roasty malt, subtle-but present vanilla, vague molasses, traces of tart (but far from overly-so) dark fruit and a little brown sugar. No alcohol detected. A pretty nice blend actually.

The body is thin and fizzy like a soda. The carbonation is active but this doesn't feel like beer on the palate at all. Toasted coconut, chocolate and semi-burnt malts linger for a drawn out finish.

I'm quite surprised here. My expectations were tempered by it's tepid reception in the reviews and the shoddy bottle/label presentation (seriously one of the worst labels I've ever seen) but I had to try it based on it's adjunct additions. The aroma and blend of flavors was actually quite nice. The appearance leaves a bit to be desired but ultimately it's the body that is a turn-off. Beer should not feel like a Coke going down. I'd probably revisit this one (possibly regularly) at a $3-5 price point but it doesn't have enough in it's corner to justify a repeat at $8.

From bomber bottles on two occasions. Should have been three but one bomber bottle stored in my cool cellar exploded after several weeks, leaving a widespread sticky mess. The second bottle gushed like crazy, making a mess even though I was cautious and, I thought, prepared. The taste seems to confirm that this is a contaminated batch.
Much better when fresh but still recommend AVOID!

Picked up this beer in Tulsa- tried to drink some locals when I was there. This is okay- you do get some coconut notes in the beer, and I've always been a fan of that flavor in a stout or porter. The problem is that it's a bit thin, both in flavor and body. There is a also slightly sour and dusty notes as well which detract from the coconut notes. There is a hint of toasted coconut on the mid palate which is nice. The aroma has a bit of bubblegum which also is a distraction. Off balance a bit. Keep trying here- when done right this a great combination.
