Bottle from Peluso. From notes.
A - Gold/light copper with some haze. Good carbonation with two fingers of white head. Good retention, spotty lace.
S - Pineapple, grain, bubblegum, yeast, citrus character grows with warming.
T - Lot's of yeast, some good hop citrus, strong spicy hop notes.
M - Good carbonation, medium body and a spicy hop bitterness.
O/D - I'm not sure what they were going for with this, but it was quite drinkable, and while the alcohol wasn't entirely hidden, it was well integrated. Overall, not a bad IPA by any rate.

750ml bottle in Duvel Tulip
no date
purchased at La Duchesse in Quebec City a couple weeks ago
A: A tiny head that disappears almost immediately leaves a little lace on top of a hazy, light orange colored beer.
S: Slight sweetness and a hint of hops
T: A distinct graininess and a hint of hops, a little bit of citrus but nothing really obvious. A slight bitterness that doesn't linger, more of an older style APA vs an IPA. What hops are there are "west coast" vs. English, but there are not enough.
M: Clean and crisp with a little bit of something left on the back of the tongue, makes me think tannins, but that is not it.
O: An acceptable beer, but nothing to write home about, very lacking for an IPA (either American or English). I will finish the bottle without a problem, but I would not buy this again. Not recommended.

Bottle: Poured a light amber color ale with a nice white foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of medium citrus floral notes with lightly sweet undertones is pleasant. Taste is also dominated by mild citrus hoppy notes with very light bitter aftertaste and some residuals sugar notes. Boyd is light with medium carbonation. Not as hoppy as I had expected with too much residual sugar apparent.

The color and the dryness are spot on.
The mouth feel is what you want to be for a dry beer.
When you pay 12cad for 750ml, you expert your ipa to taste something or smell something. You cant even smell hop or taste hop.... For a dry ipa, its the only thing you expect to smell/taste.
