The nose is very metallic with stale grain and roasted barley tone. The flavor is a bit boring but I do get a barley graininess and an obvious honey sweetness. There's some really good elements in this but it never really exerts itself.

Pours either a light copper or a dark honey with a small white head that very quickly dissipates despite a lot of small bubble activity. The smell is a very straightforward caramel malt, with clear sweetness. The taste is similar, with a full taste whose body of flavor doesn't let sweetness dominate (though it tries.) The faintest hint of hop bitterness is present on the back end. Mouthfeel is very heavy, particularly for style, though I don't mind it. It makes what can be a reasonably boring style feel more substantial. All in all, an ok brew that plays up at its $6.99 price point.
