12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 5/11/2016. Pours clear medium orange/amber/light copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, honey, brown sugar, toasted bread, light nuttiness, light citrus/apple fruitiness, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Okay aromas with some dark/bready malt, honey, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with decent strength. Taste of caramel, honey, brown sugar, toasted bread, light nuttiness, light citrus/apple fruitiness, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Minimal herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel. honey, brown sugar, toasted bread, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Solid robustness and complexity of dark/bready malt, honey, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Minimal dryness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/grainy mouthfeel that is good. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Slight diacetyl presence. Overall this is an okay amber ale. Decent robustness and complexity of dark/bready malt, honey, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. This was pretty bland and needed more hop presence; but was fairly tasty and enjoyable otherwise.

Appearance: Clear medium yellow, amber it ain't, white cape with good lace.

Aroma: Like Artisan whole wheat bread with honey. The label says "with honey added" and they aren't kidding. No hops that I could notice.

Taste: Rather good for a lightish honey added ale and remarkable only for it's noticeable sweetness. I know just the girl for this one. Didn't find any hops though and I promise I was looking.

Texture: Medium and a bit past medium.

Overall: May as well call it mead and be done with it. Bready malt and honey is all I taste. It's really too sweet for me to find pleasant and I'm not hard to please. I do know a grad student with a very low hop tolerance who dared me to find a beer she would like and this may be it.

Pours either a light copper or a dark honey with a small white head that very quickly dissipates despite a lot of small bubble activity. The smell is a very straightforward caramel malt, with clear sweetness. The taste is similar, with a full taste whose body of flavor doesn't let sweetness dominate (though it tries.) The faintest hint of hop bitterness is present on the back end. Mouthfeel is very heavy, particularly for style, though I don't mind it. It makes what can be a reasonably boring style feel more substantial. All in all, an ok brew that plays up at its $6.99 price point.

this hardly even tastes like an amber ale to me. it's too much on the sweet side for me and yet still seems to lack flavor. overall a pretty generic beer.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. This is a terrible beer! Avoid it at all costs, the only marginal good thing is the appearance and that is average at best.
