12 fl oz. can, no canned on date or freshness information. Acquired the six pack of this and it's brethren Big Flats 1901 at the local Walgreens for $6 plus tax. Not exactly a bad deal, if you ask me. No abv listed on the can.
Poured into clear tulip-ish stemware given to me as a gift from my brother.
A - Pours the typical clear pale golden lager body. Two fingers of frothy white head, appears actively carbonated. Doesn't look awful.
S - A musty, grapey sort of aroma. Not bad, but not what I was expecting. Light & musty, very low on any discernable smells. Clean wheat malt, & grape must is about all I can come up with.
T - One of the blandest light lagers I've ever tasted. Truly watery, musty, & grapey. No real corn / husk / or grain flavors to it, no wet cardboard flavor like found in the original Big Flats 1901. It's hard to say if this is better or worse than it's big brother.
M - Feel is ridiculously thin & watery. Smooth & easy-drinking, with crisp carb.
Overall, it really has nothing to offer, aside from how cheap this stuff is. The abv content is nil, so you definitely aren't buying it for that. Drinkable stuff, if the occasion ever arises.

Poured from the can into a Mason jar showed a 1/4 inch white head on top of a light yellow beer, the aroma was sweetish cereal with not much else going on. A little more taste than I expected to tell the truth but with an ABV of 3.90% there are better choices...I just have to try everything at least once. Cheap and poundable if that's your game.

Big Flats 1901 Light.
Oh yes.One of my alcoholic neighbors won a few hundo off a lottery ticket and he went out to get maximum beer for his money. He as always invites me over to indulge in the fine brews he manages to pull at random stores all throughout the county. A $3 six pack huh....Let's see.
Look - I will not even begin to pretend that I bothered with pouring this thing into any type of a glass. It is the cheapest beer available and should be drank straight from the can. Besides, we all already know what it would look like.
Smell - Big aluminum notes on the forefront with a low dosage of corn adjunct and a bit of a corn flake like aspects lingering throughout the nostrils.
Taste - Corn flakes straight out of the box pretty much. Still slightly metallic with a bit of a grape like after taste.
Feel - Very light and watery with a moderate dosage of carbonation.
Overall - It was actually a little bit better than I had expected. More flavorful than other light lagers like Miller Lite and even Coors Light. At $3 a sixer you can't really complain.

It's not a top-shelf, special-batch beer, but it's not bad for what it is. It's not skunky, it's clean-tasting and goes down smooth. If you need a buzz on the cheap, you can do worse.

Appearance: Very thin layer of foam and a little bit of bubbly carbonation.
Smell: A bit of skunked sweat. That's it.
Taste/Mouthfeel: There is no flavor to this at all. Corn mash? Maybe. Hops? Maybe. I can't really tell with this. The only thing I taste is metal in the finish. Mouthfeel is actually decent initially, but extremely bitter in the finish.
Overall Drinkability: Just not a very good beer, plain and simple.

This is the light version of the Walgreen's beer. Picked up a 6-pack of cans for $2.99
A: This beer is a really, really clear yellow. Almost like water, but not quite there. There is a bit of a fizzy head, but it goes away quick.
S: Again, typical for the style. The slightest amount of hops and lots of cereal grain.
T: There is the obvious cereal grain and adjunct flavor, but there is a nice, slight hop flavor that adds a good dash of floral bitterness. Slightly sweet lemon flavor on the way down.
M: This beer is made to go down quick. Light body, very fizzy.
O: This is better than any of the BMC light offerings, in my opinion. The bittering hops are used quite effectively to balance out some of the shitty cheap ingredients. If you must buy some type of light lager and you live near a Walgreen's, try this one out.
