Anyone involved in the production of this "beverage" need to be given other work opportunities. Like nailing random pieces of wood together for no specific purpose. Or painting roadway markings with Q-Tips. Holy Christ, this is absolutely noxious. I would happily drink Natty Ice the rest of my life if this were the only other beer option available to me. The peroxide taste/aroma made me wonder if this were not an inadvertent hair-coloring product in a 12oz. can.

Better than expected. The beer had a nice dark amber color with a refreshing hops smell. The head was foamy, light. The taste was better than expected, especially for the price. There are better beers at a much higher price but this one is quite good for a modest price; and, quite frankly, there are worst beers to be had. So try some Dieselpunk, I think it is better than just OK.

Prolific area gas station had dozens of 16oz. Cans in large metal bins for $1 a pop. Picked up multiple variations for experimentation. Now seeing this is under the world brews banner, the low price tag and mass quantity makes sense. Ahhhh I do miss those $1 tall boys of port republic sometimes.

Look - Into mason jar. Warm golden hue with a fizzy white head that is gone in a matter or seconds. Carbonation appears moderate and no lace nor stick is remnant.

Smell - Weak grapefruit zests and weak mosaic floral levels.

Taste - Follows the nose. A super light IPA, even lighter than your typical session.

Feel - Thin with a touch of malt and low carbonation. Swallows with a low level of bitterness.

Overall - A 7% beer for a dollar a pint is nothing to complain about. Super light and sessionable without a lot of flavor. I remember when Kroger used to try charging $10 a sixer for this stuff. Wouldn't pay that, but this is likely the best $1 pint of beer you'll find anywhere.

Type: 16-oz. can
Glass: Hawai’i Bowl pint glass
From: Barons Market in Alpine, Calif.
Price: $2.99 for a 4-pack
Purchased: March 22, 2016
Consumed: March 26, 2016
Misc.: 2024 13:32 on the bottom of the can (I know 1:32 p.m. for the 13:32, but not sure what the 2024 is)

Saw this for $2.99 for a 4-pack of cans (I think they also had $3.99 for a 6-pack of bottles) and instantly picked it up along with their porter. Found out when I got home that it is under the umbrella of World Brews, so I’m not expecting that much. At least it will be a good value either way.

NOTE: Somehow lost my review from this below this part. Only have my Untappd notes, which were toasted grain, Cascade hops, earthy grass and spoiled plum.

Copper amber colour and off white head with a bland unimpressive smell. Taste like something you might come up with your first time home brewing before you know what you're doing. But sold locally in NorCal for $4 a six pack of bottles what do you expect.

A very bland AIPA. Looks great. Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Orange/golden color with a big frothy white head. Good head retention and plenty of foamy lacing on the glass. The positives end here. Weak malty aroma with very little hoppiness. Flavor is mild, very little grassy hops in a mild malty beer. Mouthfeel is a bit better. At least it isn't watery but there is no good hops bitterness. This isn't a drain pour. You could use it as a lawn mower beer or to wash down food. But at 6.9% abv. you should expect more aroma and flavor. Not that worthwhile.

I'm drinking this from a can that says Double IPA (@ 8.5% abv) but it appears to be the same beer.
This stuff is terrible. Smells like a not-very-good barleywine, and tastes like a hoppy, not-very-good barleywine.
Steer clear, unless you are just looking for a cheap buzz ($7.99/6-pack), but honestly, even then, I'd rather drink PBR or Yuengling.
Does have a nice color, though.
Still, just awful swill here, unless you are a big barleywine fan and are looking for a cheap, hoppy sixer.

Color and head, along with aroma seem way off to what the style should be. I see that they brew for supermarkets, walgreens, etc. so I am assuming that they brew a cheap, quick brew to make a few bucks. Heavy malt backbones with the IPA and not very good. Malt is flat and hops take a back seat, even of they are there??
