From the 16 oz. can. Sampled on October 25, 2015.

The pour is light to medium amber with tremendous off-white, cream colored head,.

Honey is the main sensation in the aroma. That and sweet malts. Low to no hop profile.

The body is medium and with a honey, slick texture.

Very sweet and honey flavored. Basically no bitterness.

Pours a light to medium copper color from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass. Half inch cap of slightly off white foam offers moderate retention. Surely lighter than expected but boasting good clarity as well.

Hint of caramel and light hops on the aroma. Subtle but nothing to deter much either. Taste follows with a brief lingering of muddled caramel along with a fullish spritzy feel from the carbonation. Finish displays notes of the added honey. Not sweet for the style but that was expected given the light color of the pour.

Notably better than expected, or perhaps feared. Thought this might have a year plus on it but it came across as reasonably fresh for a $2.99 16 oz. four pack from Baron's.

Type: 16-oz. can (pint)
Glass: Lagunitas mason jar
From: Baron’s Market in Alpine, Calif.
Price: $2.99 for a 4-pack
Purchased: Oct. 19, 2014
Consumed: Oct. 19, 2014
Misc.: N/A

Poured a caramel, amber, clear color with five fingers of khaki, frothy head, which settled nicely. Lots of bubbles streaming up from the bottom of the glass. Sporadic spots of lacing along the sides of the glass. Average-to-above average retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 3.75)

Smelled kind of nasty initially, but then got better. Got caramel, toffee, honey, cooked green vegetables, buttery malts, plum, roasted woody notes and slight menthol. (Smell - 2.50)

Tasted kind of nasty initially again. Got buttery cooked vegetables, caramel, toffee, slight butterscotch, honey, honey wheat, slight grape juice and light plum. (Taste - 2.75)

Medium body. Oily-to-thin texture. Soft carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 2.75)

Not the worst I’ve ever had, but certainly a good value for $2.99 a 4-pack on pints. Would have rated this higher if it was considered an American Adjunct Lager, but can't pull the trigger on a AA/RA. (Overall - 2.75)

Brilliantly clear amber with a fizzy cream head. Aroma is lightly metallic, with specialty malt fruitiness and toasted caramel malt. There's a touch of floral hops. Flavor reveals that metallic character at the base, with a fruity , estery character I usually associate with yeast issues or higher alcohols. Doesn't seem hop derived. The toasted malt backbone hits mid palate, carrying into the finish, which reveals a hint of honey. Too many off flavors.

A-Pours a copper color with a thick fizzy white head that surprising left a slight amount of lacing

S-sweet, malty; very mute nose

T-similar to the nose as it is sweet, hints of corn, lots of malt with little to no hop presence

M-thin and watery

Overall, I was glad to try this beer for the shear novelty of the beer itself. I never care to drink this again.

Curious four pack in the store today found its way home with me.
Pours a deep golden color with a good sized off white head that persists for a while. Smells of bready and pilsner malt with hints of diacytyl and sulfur. Little to no hop presence. The flavor is sweet, maybe a bit too sweet with honey and crystallized sugar. Light pilsner malt flavor with little hop presence. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation, and a sweet almost syrupy mouthfeel. I really wasn't expecting much out of a gimmicky beer like this and I was not let down. Overly sweet maltiness and little else.
