Served in a straight wall UK pint glass at the Kings Head Inn in Salisbury, UK.

Appearance: Copper clear beer with thick creamy white foam. The foam does down after awhile to a thin persistent foam across the top. Thin streams of lacing all over the glass.

Smell: Sweet malt with some bready tones...almost a hint of cupcake when first poured, but mellows out as it warms up. Very appealing. The hops are mild in this - just a hint of them in there.

Taste: Very well balanced - perfect blend between hop bitterness at the end and smooth malt at the beginning. Very nice.

Mouthfeel: Shortly after pouring, just a hint of carbonation on the tongue, but it goes away quickly and leaves a beer with a juice-like consistency. Smooth and thick enough to be notable.

Drinkability: Went fantastic with a meal - for a single hopped beer, this one is very well balanced and at 5%ABV, is incredibly drinkable. I can easily see myself having another pint of this, and I noted that quite a few around the bar were having this one as well. An overall solid good beer.

Lunch-time hand pulled pint in ‘The White Hart’, Shifnal on 20th June 2012.

Light amber body with a creamy off-white head that produced some good lacing.

Weak flavours from the start, more malts than hops in my opinion and not a lot of maltiness either: aroma was only slight hop/malt/yeast esters, the taste just a hint of beery ingredients. Leaning towards boring!

Amber color with a one finger off-white head with short retention.
Light aroma with notes of caramels, English hops, some citrusy.
Flavor with notes of dank and earthy English hops, mint, biscuit malts and orange marmalade. Mild hint of herbaceous and toasted. Dry aftertaste with a medium rounded bitterness.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
Easy to drink, rounded and refreshing English Pale Ale; don’t expect a lot. High drinkability.
