Thanks to Cam for sharing this swampy saison. There should be a blending of this beer with Trou Diable's Saison du Tracteur. Swamps and tractors, it'd be a big ol fun sloppy mess for everyone.

A - Pour is haze, pale and orange. A finger of white head retains pretty well, eventually falling to a mostly-full cap and leaving bits of lace on the way.

S - Absurdly strong fresh cut apples, honey, spice. Mostly apples.

T - Granny smith apple/caramel/honey bomb. Winy grapes, apricot, cinnamon spice? Sooo much apple, not much real saison, but it's tasty.

M - Pretty good biggish body, nice foamy carbonation, somewhat chalky feel.

O - Er, not a great "saison" technically (I assume this is an off bottle) but this does have quite an enjoyable apple/honey/spice thing going on.

750ml purchased in Tampa two weeks ago. Full review at time of consumption to IPad.

A- Yellow and hazy from the 750ml to four glasses. A large foamy ring results from the death of a sub one finger head. Sparse sheets and webs of lace speckle the glass.

S- Fresh cut apples and white apples absolutely obliterate the nostrils. Minor spice and malts try to come up but the fruit notes are obscene.

T- Just a strange semi tart white grape beast like a white wine mixed with a Saison at times. Earthy honey, huge green apples, pepper and cracked grains.

MF- Medium bodied for the style with a creamy and foamy texture. Medium high carbonation leads to a finish that is just a bit tart.

Apples and white grapes. A bit of a letdown for me honestly. Tart light fruits dominate it all.

Appearance: Not particularly impressive. Pours clear pale yellow with a very thin white head. Does not appear to have much carbonation. Dissipates quickly. Not sure I could differentiate between this and Miller Lite in an eye test.

Smell: Pick up scents of honey sweetness and a little hint of something floral. Immediately more interested in the beer after smelling it.

Taste: Hopefully I'm not just predisposed from the language on the label, but there is definitely a honey-type aftertaste, barely noticeable, and the beer is almost a little peppery (like black pepper, not chile pepper).

Mouthfeel: Definitely smooth rather than dry, lightly carbonated, great Florida beer as it is not very heavy. Very slight bitterness in the aftertaste but not really dry at all.

Overall: Not much to look at but I sure enjoyed drinking it. I am becoming a big fan of this beer style and this was a nice lighter beer but with a lot of deep flavor, which is hard to pull off. Big fan. Going to Gainesville next weekend for the game and am going to try to stop at Swamp Head in person.
