Great local bear. Hoppy like most of this brewers highly rated beers. Nice beer priced to high for what it is. Other regional beers as good with better availability and price point. Love this brewery though. So, I'll keep paying the price of admission.

One of my top reviews ever was for Saison Du Pont. It was one of those experiences where the beer was in the right place at the right time and every thing clicked for me. My Saison du Swamp experience was similar. Very close to perfection for me. I lost my notes on this beer but I remember thinking it was almost note for note similar to Saison du Pont. Some characteristics that come to mind are fruity and nutty. The best American saison I've ever had, unless I count Swamp Heads Brett Saison.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy yellow with very small white head. Aroma of sweet fruits, pears, apples, white grapes, oranges, honey, some hay or straw, yeast. Flavor is a big yeasty sweetness, lots if pear and apple flavor, ever so slight spice, maybe coriander? This is a big time fruity Saison and is closer to a sweet Wit or Tripel than a musty Saison. Definitely unique with the sweetness. Full bodied, especially for the style, and medium carbonation. Overall a very nice brew on the sweet side of the style.

Whoa, what a treat.. Pours a cloudy, amber yellow with a minimal head. The smell is all Brett. It's awesome. The back of your jaw gets a slight ache just anticipating the tartness that's to come.

But the tartness is so perfectly subtle. You get a ton of lemon up front, with a tart, effervescent finish. The Brett is there, but it's balanced with the citrusy, sweet goodness.

Great beer. I wish it was more readily available. I'd buy it a lot.
