Visited on 6/24/11 while in the Las Colinas area. Small store in an upscale neighborhood (as opposed to the rampant ghettos in Las Colinas) right next to a Tom Thumb in a shopping center.

Atmosphere was nice. Most other patrons were in search of a particular brew. A couple came in, grabbed their BMC, and left. High price to pay for BMC convenience over a grocery store next door.

The service was really good. Once my selection had been noticed, the beer/wine manager made a comment about good taste and mentioned a Texas craft beer tasting the following Friday. Once I was done selecting my beers, I was given his business card and he carried my $100+ of beer out to the car himself.

The selection is outstanding for the DFW area, and for the rest of the state with the exception of the Austin metro area. BMC is kept to one corner. A decent selection of wine is available. $4-$5 glassware of good quality is available. Huge dimpled steins, a Maudite tulip, Chimay goblet, and SA perfect pint are all available, plus others.

The prices are a bit high, but not out of line. It's nice to have that kind of a selection in one place. Worth the extra $$.

Pretty solid selection, staff is generally knowledgeable. Only complaint is that they will hold special releases for regulars and not let any on the shelf.

Excellent selection and very helpful staff. Prices are great and beer of the month club gets you 10% off all purchases. Can't be beat.

I can't believe it took me this long to review LCB since I am a regular customer. The beer selection and pricing is on par with the best stores in the DFW metroplex, but LCB is bigger and laid out better so the browsing experience is more enjoyable. The owner exemplifies great customer service, treats his regulars like gold, and will even help carry your purchase out to your car. They offer a few different monthly beer and wine clubs and you can use your membership card for 10% or 15% off all purchases at any time. LCB is just as passionate about their wine as they are their beer, and all of the employees can help guide you to great selections of either one.

Las Colinas Beverages is a must visit if you are around this area.

A- Clean and easy to shop comfortably

Q- The owner makes sure that he always has great brews that are not always easy to find

S- The best service that you can find. Helpful without being over bearing. The owner will walk around and help you find whatever you want or turn you to new things that are great. He turned me on to Deep Ellum IPA which is now my go to beer whenever shopping for 6 packs.

S- Great selection even though it is not a huge store

V- A little expensive, but in line with the cost of living in Las Colinas which is a nice area

Overall- This is a must stop if you want to find a true craft beer shopping experience. The owner and staff are great. They have a beer club and email list which even though I am not a part of, due to the distance from my house, is great. BMC only has a small corner in the back. 80% of the selection is craft. Awesome!!

I discovered Las Colinas Beverage one day by accident about a year ago, and was immediately hooked. Their staff and owner are true experts in beer, and are always friendly. The place has a neighborhood vibe, with known customers stopping by routinely to see what came in.

The selection is deep, and often has beers that cannot be found anywhere else in the Metroplex - impressive given the number of high quality establishments that have opened up in the area.

Truly a hidden gem, and worth the trip from anywhere in the DFW area.

Excellent owner and staff! Willing to do just about anything for customers (especially - SURPRISE for loyal customers)! They have regular tastings, a weekly email of new offerings and occasional special events. If you live in the area – get on the email list. They can order kegs for you. They get excellent selections even of very limited productions. Ask the staff and they will either have tried or are willing to try something new. No beer snobbery, just straight up knowledge, service and friendliness. I drive there from Carrollton, pay a little extra compared to a bigger chain, get what I want and have a great experience. The definition of value!

Feeling a little depressed beer wise moving from Philly to Dallas. I was so happy to happen upon this place.

Next to the Tom Thumb in Las Colinas- this tiny little store is stocked with all kinds of fun beers to try plus new releases and carrying all the essentials. Plus the owners are great, knowledgeable and fun to talk to.

I admit it is nice to be able to buy beer at the grocery store but the selection is usually pretty mediocre. Here I can find all my old Philly favorites even Monk's Cafe Sour and other small production finds.

Although slightly more expensive, I would support this little store any day over the giants next door!

I went to this place not long after it opened and wasn't too impressed, but went in again on a whim tonight when driving past. I'm glad I did. This is just a fantastic beer store. Staff greet you when you come in but they're happy to let you browse - and it's a good selection for looking around. Quite a wide variety of styles represented. The mixed six fridge was great value but some of the bigger singles are pretty expensive - above bar prices in a couple of cases. But that's made up for elsewhere. It's not all strip lighting and boxes of Bud in here like so many other beer places - you can tell the guys running this place have thought long and hard about what to stock and where (and how) to store it. Great little store and I'll definitely be back soon.

Ok guys this is a regular stop for me. I am a serious hop head and they have more options than any other store I have found in the DFW area. I get excited evertime i see all the different types of beer. Everytime they ask me if i need help finding anything specific, and evertime all im doing is just taking it all in, seeing what all is there. They have so many options. And I love their IPA cooler sections.

They know their stuff, they are spot on with their reccomendations. I love talking with them both. Super friendly and we always end up talking beer and sports. love it. The store is super clean and probobly has close to maybe 20 coolers of imports and craft brews.

They have everything and then some. They have a pick your six, six pack option which is really nice. They also have those rare brews and imports that are hard to get anywhere. If it is in Texas they will get it in their store.

They also have a top selection of wine in there. and they always have some bottles open for tasting. Also saki. They have good knowledge on wine as well if you happen to be in the mood for it or you're doing some kind of entertaining.

They also have a top notch cigar shop in house. Super selection. I reccomend anyone in the DFW area taking a trip out to Las Colinas Beverage. Very nice, good looking, well put together store, with two classy beer and sports fans running the place. Do yourself a favor beer fans and go by and see Nick and Rick over at the LC.

By Tom Thumb, it's easy to find, tons of parking.
The place is well kept, bright, wide aisles, and around 20 doors of Craft Beer goodness. Everything in coolers, easy to see, but I would recommend some light tinting to reduce potential light damage.
The selection is very impressive, scores of high quality beers and few of the "filler" brands to try and pump up the numbers.
Service was very good, offered help and were friendly.
The only drawback to all this selection is some concern on turnover of product. Some things were obviously dated, a few things were from at least a couple years ago, so you have to be smart about what you're getting. Smart picks on beers that will "age" well should allow you to get some gems (such as the Boxed Fuller's Vintage beers).

If you're in the area, this is an obvious beer stop.

My wife and I made the pilgrimage from Rowlett all the way over to Las Colinas Beverages because it was the only place in DFW that I knew carried Dogfish Head's limited "Red & White".

Upon arrival my wife and I were greeted by the owner and he was more than happy to help us out in what we were looking for.

Their selection is very well laid out and kept in closed door coolers. We were able to pick up several Dogfish Head seasonals as well as my favorite (as a California expat), ANCHOR STEAM OLD FOGHORN! Needless to say it was well worth the trip to get to Las Colinas Beverages.

I just found out about Las Colinas Beverage about a month ago, and ever since then they have been my go to beer store. I shop at every beer store in DFW, and Las Colinas Beverage is right up there with the best of them. They are still a fairly new beer store, so they are steadily increasing their stock with new beers. They seem to get all of the new/limited released beers, and are very reasonable on the price. The two guys that run the place (Nick & Rick) are very helpful, and know a bit about their beer. Very nice, and clean organized store, and keep all of their beer in coolers. Give them a lil more time, and they could be one of the top beer stores in DFW.

Compared to the other places I visited in Dallas, this one simply doesn't measure up... Its got some quality brews... Just nothing different and nowhere near the variety of Keg and Barrels or Mr G's in Plano...the person behind the counter filed her nails the whole time I was there so service wasn't that great.. She didn't strike me as someone who would be able to help me anyway so no biggie...

They did have a mix and match sixer option which was nice and I took advantage of that with some nice local selections but given the choice, I'd go somewhere else...

Not bad at all, just not the best in the area...

I'm in the area for work. I'm trying to find a place to get good beer. There are a lot of places that have beer. There are even a fair number with 20 doors (their way of counting things) of beer. Las Colinas doesn't appear to have 20 doors of beer. What they do have is good beer. A lot of it for the area.

First thing I heard about them was that they try to have every beer you can get in Texas. Second thing was that they're expensive. As for the first item it looks like they have every one of the beers I saw in 8 other stores today and then some. A big plus. As for the second item, well, yeah, it's true. But, you know, you can't do mixed 6 packs in any of the other stores. Is that worth $1.50 for that mixed 6? Absolutely. Is it worth $2 more for Fuller's Vintage? Prolly not.

But, hey, it's a nice shop - looks like it's brand new in a nice and new shopping center (the one with the Tom Thumb). Easy to find (I made it there on oral directions). Very nice inside - clean, clear, bright, nice high ceilings, wine open at the front for tasting, happy and helpful people working the desk.

And, frankly, I really do want to insist on the fact that it was a nice looking shop. That makes me want to go back. Well, that and the mixed six packs and good selection and helpful staff. Since almost everything is in the cooler there's a lot less to worry about in terms of spoilage that with other shops. No, really, I'd shop there.
