A very nice mild pale ale. Good balance of malt and hops.

A: Pours a hazy golden copper in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and some faint amber + golden yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy beige head that reduces to a mottled medium thick film covering the entire surface of the beer with a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of biscuit, grainy, and caramel malts with a light aroma of grassy and herbal hops.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit, caramel, and grainy malts with just a light hint of sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of earthy, herbal, and grassy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away pretty quickly.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Easy drinking and refreshing, a great beer for sitting out on the porch in the hot NC summer. Alcohol is well hidden and this beer is quite enjoyable. Could easily have a couple of these in a session.

Poured into a Creature Comforts cask-style glass. Bottom of can says Canned On 05/27/15.

A- Pours a dark amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a mostly full sheet of sheer surface foam. Not much lacing.

S- Toasty and sweet with notes of burnt sugar and caramel.

T- Sweetness somewhat follows through to the flavor with some bready notes. Hop bitterness is mild and just there to balance. Very easy to drink but has enough flavor to keep you coming back for more. Vanilla aftertaste.

M- Standard pale ale feel with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the fuller side.

O- Not bad for a straightforward pale ale. Could use a slight bit more hop character for my liking but those seeking a more traditional example of the style will be pleased.

Appearance - brown in color. Smell - smells sort of malty, not much hops. Taste - as I suspected, mostly malt and not bitter at all. Nice at smooth. I like this. Overall - definitely want this again.
