Nice APA, crisp taste and clean. Great session brew with mild hop flavors of citrus fruits and some floral flavors too. Body is nice clear golden orange, decent white foam head that slowly fades. Will be looking for more in the future.

Type: 12-oz. can
Glass: Modern Times pint glass
From: Total Wine & More in Ballantyne (Charlotte), N.C.
Price: $1.79
Purchased: Sept. 9, 2014
Consumed: Sept. 16, 2014
Misc.: N/A
Poured a golden, straw, semi-clear color with 4-to-5 fingers of khaki-white rocky head. Lots of streams of bubbles coming up from the bottle at different parts of the glass. Below average uneven layered lacing on the sides of the glass. Average-to-above retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled Citra hops, floral hops, caramel, bread, light grapefruit notes and lemon grass. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted pretty close to the nose. Very light and refreshing, but still a bitter aftertaste. Got floral hops, Citra hops, bitter orange rind, grassy notes, wheat and lime. (Taste - 3.75)
Light body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, refreshing finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This was a pretty good pale ale overall. Not as flavorful as it good be, but easily drinkable, refreshing and tasty. NOTE: Late quarter of the beer had me feeling like I overrated it a tad. (Overall - 3.75)

12oz can I picked up at the brewery. Poured into a standard pint, the brew appears a clear golden yellow color with a white cap more than a finger strong. As the cap fades, it leaves patchy lace clinging to the glass.
The smell is quite herbal and grassy from the hops. There is little malt and alcohol influence. No off-character or anything negative to say other than the nose is very mild and well muted.
The taste is grassy and herbal like the aroma leads on. As it warms up, it gets almost lemony with a fresh sweet grainy undertone like cereal. Not a bad balance of character, just a little lacking in the bitterness to balance this out.
This is a medium bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. Overall a decent offering but a bit of a letdown. They either under-hopped this a bit or it is a little dated. In comparison to others in the style, this is easily approachable but lacks the hop bite I look for in a good pale ale.

A: Hazy straw gold color, nice foamy white head that settles to thin film and ring. Leaves spotty lacing
S: Mild aromas of herbal and citrus hops, sweet light malty grains
T: Sweet malty grains, a little biscuit and cracker, light ambiguous hop flavor to clean up the sweetness. Smooth and very drinkable.
M: Light feel with solid carbonation, crisp finishing
O: Not a lot going on here but that's what you want in a low ABV canned beer meant to drink outdoors. Great lawn mower beer or a great addition to the cooler for beach/pool/camping trips.
