Wow, this beverage impressed me. I am a big fan of the style and was surprised to find this great one produced locally, and from a can.

Pours hazy and bright yellow/golden hazy color. Head is not thick and does not leave much lacing although some is present. Smell is strong of sweet "bubblegum" and banana's. Good, strong and pleasant lighter aroma to this beer.

Taste is great, rellay smooth and on the lighter side with light carbonation.

This beer will definitely be one of my regulars now. Highly suggest purchasing or acquiring this beer.

A: A hazy straw color with a thin line of white swirls on top of the beer.

S: A nice wheat aroma with clove and some earthy hop.

T: The wheat malt really comes through in the flavor and blends well with a citrus and clove flavor. The finish is very smooth with a spicy clove aftertaste.

M: A bit peppery from the carbonation and then very smooth.

O: Very good hefe. Easy to drink and delicious. Great feel to it. Very refreshing beer.

Hefe in a can! Hell yes!

Pour is that cloudy straw that Ive come to love oh so much. Head wasnt what I was expecting. It want super thick, protein-packed, overly foamy Weihenstephaner/Schneider head, but it was initially decent, but faded way too quickly leaving nothing.

Holy lord it smells good! Banana and bubble gum from the yeast (no clove surprisingly). A hint of oranges. Smell also holds a bit of wheat twang. Overall, banana from the yeast takes over, and its not so bad.

The yeast esters are very nice, strong on the banana and bubble gum. Theres even some clove lingering in the background. Candied orange flavor adds a subtle sweetness that I usually associate with Schenider Weisse, and some other American hefeweizens. Very balanced and smooth. Wheat twang from the nose translates to orange citrus slight sourness. The esters dont really linger as long as its German counterparts, and the body isnt as heavy as them either, but it makes up for that with its overall drinkability and complexity. Theres so much going on, yet its all drinkable.

The complexity and drinkability are what Im aiming for with my own homebrews. Well done, Mother Earth!

12oz can with no freshness date.

LOOK: Cloudy golden orange, good head retention.

SMELL: Bready wheat, chalky yeast, powdered clove, dried banana chips.

TASTE: Smooth & crisp, spicy, bready, grainy, yeasty, clove, ripe fruit, phenolic.

Bam! Mother Earth nailed it with this brew ... figures that it is a seasonal, year round would be my thinking. The only thing wrong with this beer is that it does not come in 16oz tall boy cans. Ditch the 12oz sippy cans. ;-)

16 ounce pint - $6.50 at Taco Mac in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Served up a pale golden body, quite hazed, with a smallish, white, though never-ending head. After knocking out a few handwritten notes, then, firing up the laptop and connecting to the pesky WiFi here, it is still there, the head. After a round of asinine texts from my ex-fiancee, it's still there, still going strong (presumably all day long).

Smell: No-doubt-about-it malted wheat, with supporting, expected notes of bananas, cloves, and lemon chiffon pie filling.

Taste: Staunchly wheaty, with a big kick of twangy wheat and sweetness akin to whipped cream sweetened with powdered sugar. Banana puree cut with whole milk and spiced lightly with a bit of ground clove. Touch of lemon akin to a taste of Lemonheads before you hit the sour core. Light hop character, lightly bitter. The cream and 10x powdered sugar come back before the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Creamyish mouthfeel throughout.

Overall: Seriously, like a hour later, the head has not diminished in size. Large on the wheat character, but a very promising hefe.

A - cloudy, hazy golden yellow; big cap of dense, fizzy, white head; decent retention

S - banana, yeast, straw, faint clove

T - banana, wheat, pear, very faint clove

S - crisp, light to medium bodied, smooth

This is a well balanced, flavorful, smooth, easy drinking hefeweizen. The flavor is on the lighter side but it has all the key elements that make a solid german style wheat beer. It's worth checking out.

can from Bottle Revolution, Raleigh

a: agitated in the can, this hefe pours into my mason jar pint a hazy hay-golden in color, an initial push of white head quickly recedes to only a thin ring and surface layer

s: wheat malt structure with a slight fruit-sugar sweetness, yeasty bubblegum, banana, candied citrus, grape, papery noble hops, smells great

m: carbonation moderate-high, composed of small bubbles and lively, body lighter but with a nice heft from the yeast and sugars - not thin

t: wheat malt body with a range of yeasty hefe flavors - bubblegum, tropical fruits, sweet orange, underripe banana - none particularly assertive but combining to a really nice, full flavor, perfectly balanced sweetness, papery noble hop flavors, cleaning up in the finish with a crisp but mild bittering

o: a high quality hefe with lots going on, ideally I like a little more yeast and complexity in mine, but that's nitpicking - the balance here is excellent - and yay for more NC beers in cans
