L: Had this beer on-tap at Brewmasters - Wilson, poured into a snifter glass. Had a brownish-amber color and a hazy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of apples, Belgian yeast, malt, dark fruit, and caramel.
T: Tasted of a small amount of malt (barely present), a tinge of caramel, a bit of wood (oak, in particular), a good amount of Belgian yeast, lots of apples, and a good shot of dark fruit (the advertised figs and raisins). An interesting flavor that's heavier on the fruit than most dubbels. It has a sweet, fruity, focused flavor. Tasty stuff.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a warm finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A solidly made, interesting take on the dubbel style. Worth a try.

Pours a scarlet-hued brown with fast falling beige head. Viscious, no lacing or head retention
S: Lives up to the name, figs & raisins, booze down the hme stretch
T: Follows the nose, woody dryness, pears, & dark cherry up front. Leafy hops, figs, booze warmth, woody dryness , a little chocolate on the edges, Finishes with brandy booze warmth & fruttyness, a little dark cherry & tobacco
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, warming
A noce offering a little more barrel & flavor would serve this well, stiill well worth a go

Ruddy, hazy beer with a light tan head. Smells of wet oak, vanilla, figs, caramel and booze. Taste is bitter, oak, vanilla, caramel and some hot booze. A really bitter and boozy aftertaste. Not a bad beer but not quite balanced.

Cork and cage bottle, dated October 2015. I'm an outlier here, but I find this to be really delightful. The fig and raisin adds a subtle depth of flavor, without being overpowering or the only attraction. There's a balanced Belgian to be found lying underneath, particularly as the beer warms, but I do love the fruited notes.

Look: It pours a cloudy, murky brown with a tanish head that is full.
Smell: It has a sweet malt base with aromas of caramel, raisins, figs, hints of apple, and bready aromas.
Taste: It has an initial taste that is sweet, then turns to a combination of sour and hoppy. The apple with alcohol favors and caramel malt with hints of cherry tobacco and highlighter with the fig, raisins and floral hops coming on as the flavor lingers. As it warms a bit there is also a vinous flavoring at the end as well.
Feel: It has a moderately heavy fell to it. There is a sharply bitter after taste with alcohol warming that is slightly on the hot side.
Overall: This is a complex brew that reminds me more of a flavored barley wine than a fruit beer mixed in a dubbel. The different waves of flavoring were impressive, but it was a little hot on the palate as opposed to warming.
