Beer correct but that does not contribute anything. The beer is not bad, it is made following standards but it does not give anything that does not contribute other stubs. One of the things I do not like about beer is alcohol. I think alcohol is not well integrated

A fairly good quad.

The look disappoints as there is minimal head or lacing, which isn't strange for the style, but the color is where this falls flat. Dark chalkt opague, almost like sewer water.

Aroma is pleasant with ripe stone fruit, toasty champagne yeast notes and a presence of alcohol.

Flavor is fruity, suite with hints of raisins, again with a nice yeast toast .flavor.

Clear dark brown color with red hues, tan head. Aroma has mostly brown sugar and toasted malts with some booze soaked fruits on top. Taste focuses mostly on the brown sugar and yeast character. Finish is a bit astringent and bitter. Medium body and carbonation. It's an intense beer but this also comes with some alcohol burn.

Vertical tasting between 2012 vintage with 01/18 BB and non-vintage with 2/20 BB.

Poured a dark coffee brown - neither poured with much head or left much lacing.

Notes of coffee, brown sugar, dark fruit with the Vintage version exhibiting notes of cherry, prunes and a vinous note.

Light bodied with a light mouth.

2012 has less alcohol and is much mellower than the NV which is a little warm and not as good as I remember it.

Definitely one to age a couple of years.

Aromas like a fine red wine. Very smooth with a malty, cherry, alcoholic taste.

750ml corked and caged 2015 bottle into tulip 11/2/17

A reddish cola when held to the light, large and loose brown foam has decent retention leaving some random patches

S brewers candy, faint anise, fennel, molasses, root beer, some hard to place vinous notes, raisins, brown sugar, smells pretty good

T cola and brewers candy work well together, dried dark fruit, a little cocoa, not far from the nose

M soft from the bubbles, not as heavy as I expected, booze is well hidden, licorice and spice linger

O mellow for the strength with plenty going on, I rather enjoyed this stuff and could see it doing well with some age

I didn't know what to expect from this one and it turned out great for the money, I'll grab this one again for sure...
