From notes taken 04/22/17:

My last Framboise was almost two years ago, such a treat!

Very deep copper, darker than brandy, essentially ruby in indirect light. Clear upon first pour, second pour is full of small black chunks but no less clear, third is a solid, opaque grayish brown, not really purple or pink or red. Light pinkish beige head of delicate fluff. Not as purple as certain other Framboise Lambics. Aroma packed with raspberry, but on the sweet side, as opposed to tart, so like blackberries as well. Palate is a little more tart with raspberry, white grape, fuji apple, but also somewhat “fishy” on first couple sips. Could be the fact that this is an old bottle, or could just be a feature here. In any case, it is mostly gone upon saturation of the palate, and possibly “off-gassing”. Whoah, and I just got a chunk of raspberry (or at least something of that same consistency and texture soaked in raspberry). I don’t know if that is standard or not, but it was a surprise in something this clear (first pour). The third pour into a small flute is extra tart, must be more actual fruit in it, but no more chunks really, it’s more pulverized than that one I got before. Light bodied for first two pours, but a perfect medium on the third, a creamy feel on all pours, with low tingly carbonation and an acidic chalky dryness at the finish.

Good looking deep reddish purple brew; thin cream head.

Tons of tart raspberry on the nose.

Sweet and tart on the palate. Lots of raspberry, sugar, and a touch of syrup. No funk.

This is tasty, of course, but I'll pass in the future. It is too sweet and one-dimensional.

Poured into a chalice from a bottle. A deep hazy purple red color with a thin head and curtain lacing. Raspberry smell and taste. Taste is sweet with a bit of funk and sour pucker . A good beer for dessert!

L: Pours brilliant pink to cherry amber crowned by a quickly receding 1” pink tinted white foam collar.
S: I can smell the raspberries from about 3’ away.
T: Big raspberry flavors are balanced by citrus, lemony tartness and a light funk.
F: Juicy and light but very creamy and very soft on the palate
O: This is a yeast forward beer dominated by raspberries and yeast flavors without a lot of malt coming through. The balancing tartness keeps it from becoming a high school date beer.
