No. 3 beer from Inducerv.
This is a typical hefe alright, even if you couldn't read it off the label, the pour was as messy as would be with your usual hefe: too much head, let it settle for a few minutes then start pouring it little by little. what a noob (at pouring). very cloudy straw-toned with a creamy white head, lots of lacing very lasting head. textbook weizen.
The smell fills the room right away and is the better part of this german-style beer. extremely sweet-wheaty scent with tonnes of yeast all over the place. very discrete alcohol undertone.
As for the taste, it's dry-er than i expected, wheaty and citrusy at a time but it isn't too sweet, perhaps more tending to the family of the dry weizens like augustiner or hacker-pschorr. (as opposed to the paulaners and franziskaners of the world). well-balanced bitter ending. spicy nonetheless; it doesn't mingle into the world of the witbiers either.
Medium bodied, a very positive deal because the whole dry taste is consonant with more of a sessionable, refreshing brew rather than a superstrong superthick single beer.
in the end a very worthwhile beer for a sunny day, and definetly a well conducted incursion into the german styles by inducerv.
