I absolutly love this place!! I have been back several times and have coined it my new Thursday Headquarters. The atmosphere is really well put together with a lining around the ceilings of all the past tap heads they have, and neat paintings that have a green pickle in them with a black and white backround. Service and knowledge of the staff is top notch. The bartender knows a ridiculous amount of information on all the beers they offer with a weekly updaated "beer Board" that changes constantly. Their selection never dissapoints when it comes to beers and love that they offer tastings and smaller less expensive pours for a chance at trying more beers with less of a hammered effect. The food is exceptional for the price and the specials are always great. I personaly recomend their appetizer fish tacos which are out of this world. To call this an app is a slap in the face to all other appetizers. Two enormous freshly battered fish tacos with a little zip from jalapenos and pickled onions. Another winner in the bacon jam and bleu burger. Sinful and wonderful combo of a giant fresh burger and shoestring fries that are addictive. I also recomend going to one of the monthly beer dinners which comprises of a 5 coarse meal and beer pairings for only $40. All in all this is my newly found utopia and I plan on spending lots of time there.

First time there, I dropped the wife off at the Ann Taylor outlet and said take your time. Went to the Pub. Great selection all around. I love that you can buy 4oz samples for about $2.50. They had DFH Bitches Brew, Evolution, no 16 mile on tap though. Love the rotating beer list. I'll go back, even encourage my wife to shop more, perhaps she will go when I am a bit hungrier so I can try the food. Owned by the people who run Pig and Fish in Rehoboth and they have very good food. Their cheese boards look really good so that is a must try.

Great food and a rotating beer selection on draft that covers the universe of beer very nicely! The staff is really knowledgable and accommodating. The only drawback is it is a strip mall, but very clean and spacious. The specials are the best, and their occasional beer dinners are fun.

Wanted to grab a pint or two after a round of golf and I heard this place had a good selection. It is located in a strip mall off Route 1 Southbound, just before Route 24. The place itself is not large, as there are a handful of tables in the front of the place, and the bar is located in the back by the kitchen.

The bar was a smallish squared-U shaped area that could seat about 12 patrons. TVs are behind the bar and a large blackboard with the latest listing of beers on tap can't be missed.

There were 15 beers on tap and covered a nice range of styles. Several DFH beers - Palo Santo Marron, Red & Black, Hellbound, Indian Brown, and 60 Minutes were on with Twin Lakes Greenville Pale Ale and Tweeds Stout, Saison Dupont, Victory Headwaters, RJ Rockers Fish Paralyzer, Old Dominion Oak Barrel Stout, Ommegang Hennepin, Miller Lite, and Newcastle. There is also a large bottle list probably upwards of 50 beers.

The food was very good as we had the daily special turtle soup, the pretzels appetizer, and the fish tacos which could really be an entree they were so big. The food that others were eating at the bar also looked great.

For anyone travelling to Rehoboth Beach area, this is a must stop for good food and beer. They brag about the best beer selection in Delaware, and I would have to agree.

My go to beer bar. The Pickled Pig doesn't look like much from the outside, but it may be the best beer bar in Southern Delaware. With a large rotating tap list and pretty extensive bottle list, there is usually something on tap I have no had before. There is always something local on from either Evolution or DFH, and they also have a Randall that is used on Thursdays. They post their tap list on their website and typically update it when a new beer is put on.

The staff is quite knowledgeable and know a good amount of information about all of the beers on tap and have no problem giving suggestions or letting you sample something before ordering it.

The food is also pretty good, have had the burgers, fish tacos, and the chicken sandwich.

My only worry is that the prices have seemed to increase a good bit over the last few months, almost to the point where ordering a pint is too expensive to go. Hopefully this will not continue, as the Pig is my favorite place to grab a beer.

This place is a must see if you are in town. They had a good variety of brews on tap, covering locals, imports, and a diverse range of styles. I had DFH Burton Baton and Paulaner Hefeweizen on tap, and Victory Whirlwind Wit in bottles. Saison Dupont, and other DFH rarites caught my eye, but I chose not to orfer them. Two great things about their beer selection: they gave the option of a small snifter pour, and they had $3 pint specials of Paulaner Hefe and DFH 60 Minute.

The food was really interesting. They had a cheese plate with a very nice happy hour price. I also had a cup of chili. The quality of the food was better than I hoped for. I wish there were more beer bars with a similar menu/quality.

Pretty good place in an interesting location; near the outlets! So let your wife or girlfriend or husband or boyfriend shop while you can try great craft beers.
Aside from rotating Dogfish Head taps, they get a great regional selection as well. I have had some interesting Evolution stuff, Troegs, and Victory there (St. Victorious was great on tap).
The food is solid there as well. I can't name anything specific, but I like it.
Also, Jerry the bartender is great, and always happy to chat you up.
Thursday's they run beers through Randall and they can get creative.

PEI mussels were excellent. Burley Oak Rude Boy was better. Reasonable prices. Staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Cheese board is great. Nice atmosphere (they did a lot with a rectangular space in a strip mall) and they have a great selection of Delaware beers. I'll be back.

Found via beerfly while on vacation in Rehoboth. Location is by the outlets in a strip mall. Small indoor seating area. Our bartender was very good, gave samples, and explained beer styles to the members of our group who were non-ba's. Good selection of styles and breweries, which had a few small locals on (Evolution). Interesting menu and our group split appetizers which were very good. Prices were reasonable. A nice addition to the local beer scene which will be part of our future beercation plans.

Cheers.

These are the same folks who have the Pig and Fish restaurant in downtown Rehoboth with this being the original. Located in a strip mall on Route 1, they've done what they can with the d├ęcor. However, the food is excellent and they had a really nice selection of local and regional beers on tap and in bottles. Since the beer is obviously selected with the food in mind, the selection skews more to the lighter end with a lot of Belgian style choices and only a few hoppy options. Pro tip - if you're visiting Rehoboth, I wouldn't feel you need to hit this place and Pig and Fish as the menus are very similar.

Had dinner there tonight. Great atmosphere, great food, better beer. They had a great selection of locals as well as other fairly rare micros, and a couple Belgians. The food was great (I got the Cuban and pretzels), but they didn't have any vegetarian options. They also do 4 oz pours of beers so you can sample a couple if you don't want to pick just one. Prices weren't terrible, but were a little on the expensive side for what you get. The fries were great too! The website seemed to be pretty updated. Surprisingly good place in the middle of the outlets...

Nestled in a small strip mall just south of the first set of outlets-right next to Pier 1 if you are looking. restaurant towards the front and a small bar that seat perhaps 12 to 14 tucked in the back. Service has been great both times I have been in. Bartender knew his stuff and was more then happy to pour small tastes of each beer.

Selection is very good for the area. Prior visit had 120, Gonzo Imperial Porter, a Southern Tier, several DFH, Evo and 16 Mile from DE and others. This time there was Saison Du Pont, Hennipin, Espresso Yeti, DFH 60, Evo Summer, Ofallon's peach and about 6 others. The beers are fairly reasonable price wise and you can get a half sized glass or 4 ounce serving if you want.

Only had a cheese plate which was great but have not had any other food so I really cant comment. Last few times I have tried to go to DFH it has been mobbed. This is a great place for a pint or 2, especially if the wife wants to hit the outlets and you are shopped out.

Dinner on a Thursday night with family. Restaurant is clean and at 7pm well lighted. Staff is friendly, draft list provided with menus- draft beers marked with a check mark. 14ish taps mixing local with national/intl. being out of town, went with 2 local - Old Dominion Gigi Saison and collaboration with The Monarchy and Stillwater - It's Still Weisse. Menu is what you expect from a gastropub. Ordered Fried Pickles which came with a fantastic spicy dipping sauce similar to a buffalo sauce and hummus and feta cheese which I felt was light on the pits/flatbread. The main event was their Pork Flatliner sandwich - a monster panini with ham, pork bellies, pulled pork, bacon, cheese and bbq sauce w/ pickles. My heart probably skipped a few beats, but that is my issue not theirs! A next visit will definitely include their cheeseplate- they rotate 10ish different cheeses. Will definitely go again and recommend highly if you are looking for a good tap list in Rehoboth with excellent pub comfort food.

First, let me just say that Dogfish Head brewpub is always closed on my birthday for renovations. I understand it's the middle of winter and well, I guess I really should just blame my parents. That being said...
After a tour of Dogfish's new brewery on my birthday, we decided to go to The Pickled Pig Pub after a recommendation from our tour guide. It's located in north Rehoboth Beach, before you get to the beach and nestled in a small shopping center. The first thing I saw was a chalkboard with all the local Delaware breweries. So great to encourage everyone to drink locally! The beer list was good. I was obviously in the mood for some Dogfish and they had the World Wide Stout, 90 Minute, Olde School Barleywine, and 60 Minute on draft. They constantly have a great selection of local beers consisting of the aforementioned DFH, Evolution, 16 Mile, and Twin Lakes. There is also an offering of bottles and cans. The food was okay. I had the Pub Pulled Pork. I've had better. (i.e. TJ's Everyday...OMG!) I highly recommend visiting The Pickled Pig if you are in the area. Being such a small state, it's difficult to come across a good beer place. But there are a few hidden gems around this First State and The Pickled Pig is definitely one of them.
