Not that bad a bar for a late night visit, it stays open late and is very cheap. They had an average selection of beers for a pub of this type with some mainstream Trappist beers, some Duvel and Palm offerings as well as Guinness and a couple others I think. It wasn't too busy but we went late on a Monday night but it was €2 for most beers up until midnight - I think Maes or Jupiler on tap was €1. A rock bar style feel but cheap which is the main reason to go.

We stopped by late at night, didn’t even realize it was listed on Beerfly.

Is it a good bar - yes. Is it a beer bar - no. The beers were cheap and the Guinness tasted fresh so points there. They did offer a few choices from Belgium and they were cheap.

They have TVs so you can watch soccer and I believe they have live music several nights a week.

The service was fast and friendly, we didn’t try the food. Lots of Ex-Pats and tourists in the crowd.

Here's something different from the usual beer cafe; a pub! Seeing it listed as a BeerFly got my attention, as it was located very close to my hostel. The experience; bittersweet.

It started off right with the atmosphere. Europa League on TV, a bar full of energetic people, helpful and well staffed bar service, and a very loose and easy going feel. After sitting at a number of cafes, sometimes you need a change in scenery.

My hopes sank when I saw the beer menu. It's a single page menu listing all the drinks. Only 4 taps, pouring Guinness, Kilkenny, Maes, and a cider I didn't care for. The bottle list is 20, but at least there are some good offerings; Westmalle, Duvel, Palm, Lindemans, Rodenbach, Grimbergen. Despite the bottle list, it seemed everybody was drinking either Maes or Corona longnecks. Even I was drinking Maes, and I quickly regretted that decision!

Even with a small Belgian beer menu, there is one aspect which nobody can resist, its prices. Celtica is easily the cheapest place I found in Brussels to drink, and it gets more ridiculous. Consider its Happy Hour, which starts at 1pm, and continues all the way until midnight! Everyday! Where else will you find Orval and Westmalle at €2 a bottle?
