From the fishermen who have fought the harsh waters of the Northeast for generations, to the family clam bakes and lobster boils that celebrate their well-earned bounty, seafood is part of the fabric of every New Englander. We work hard, take nothing for granted, and have a good time doing it. When we crack our first lobster of the season, it's a big deal- an occasion to indulge, reflect, and party with friends and family. Since 1890, Narragansett has been the beer that fishermen toil to earn, and the beer the rest of us salute them with. This beer honors the risk and hails the rewards that comes with every "Fresh Catch." Fresh Catch is a supremely refreshing blonde ale that's dry hopped with citra for a crisp grapefruit finish. Aromas of citrus and passion fruit are very evident, but mild of the palate. Brewed to be the perfect pairing with shellfish or whitefish.

I'm not a regular on this site, but I've had many beers in my life. I've been drinking IPA's for a while, I guess for the bite and alcohol content, but this beer is a very, very tasty! It leaves me with a very nice authentic pilsner taste, but it's not a pilsner?

Poured from a can. Love the look of the can btw. The smell is citrus, kind of light. The mouth feel is thin. Taste is so so. A little citrus, but tastes like a light beer.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden-straw color with a small head of puffy white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time and leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a grapefruit citrus and orange smell, mixed with some lemon and a bit of cracker malt.
Taste – The taste begins with a crisp cracker malt flavor that has notes of tangerine and grapefruit hop. There is a also light lemon and orange rod flavor upfront. Light floral hop and some grass come more toward the end, leaving one with a nice crisp taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is moderate to thin with a higher carbonation level. Very nice for the mix of citrus and cracker malt, as well as the lighter crisp tastes, creating a nice easy refreshing and flavorful sipper.
Overall - Very easy drinking citrusy brew. Nice for summer months.

This is a review of a 12oz can from the Summer Variety Pack. From the bottom of the can: "B03 13 06:14"
Appearance: The beer is gold colored and it leans a bit to the darker side. It is very hazy and there are tons of particulates floating in the glass. It starts out with an oversized white head with a dense creamy texture, but it slowly fades out to a more normal medium sized head. It leaves tons of lacing on the glass. The body isn't much to look at but the head is great.
Aroma: There is a slightly spicy hop aroma with light hints of lemon zest. It has a bit of a floral scent with some nondescript plant clipping notes. The overall aroma is light but distinguishable notes of specific hop characters come through rather than feeling muddled together which is nice. As the beer sits for a while an orange marmalade aroma comes through.
Taste: A very pleasant herbal hop note comes through up front, then it crosses over the middle of the palate with earthy notes of moss, seaweed, and cedar wood. A bit of lemon flavor in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: It feels light bodied but towards the upper range of light. There is a very pleasant hop bitterness that is just present enough to let you know it's there without being overwhelming. It is a refreshing beer to drink and quite enjoyable.
Overall: The can states that this is "A Refreshing Golden Ale Dry Hopped with Citra!" The aroma in the beer is nice but the presence is pretty light, especially for a dry hopped beer. The flavor of the beer makes up for the aroma with a pleasant earthy and herbal character mixed with a light citrus note. This is an easy drinking and refreshing beer that would be nice to drink on a camping trip or when working in the yard. I would buy it again and I recommend it.

16oz can into a pint glass.
L: Pours yeast hazed radiant gold yellow w a thin, white tight head, good fine carbo, excellent thick lacing w full sheeting and lite banding.
S: Citrus, light caramel, crusty bread, pastry dough, cereal grains, a touch of honey.
T: Light citrus, lemon, quite bready, doughy malts, gently tart & bitter hops, honey, grapefruit, light citrus zest in finish & linger, softly resinous. Very pleasing.
F: Semi-juicy, lightly brisk then very smooth med-lite body w a bready center and a fast finish that has a light linger. Light after taste, gently dry.
O: A fantastic beer that is very easy drinking. Great tasting and very well balanced with gentle citra hops. IMHO, it is outstanding in its style though I would not classify it as a Blonde Ale but rather as a Session Ale as indicated on the can.

Fresh Catch has a thick, off-white head and a slightly hazy, bubbly gold appearance, with heavy lacing. The aroma is of citrus, meaty hop resin, and white bread crust. The flavor is of those elements, with noticeable bitterness. Fresh Catch has a thin-to-medium body and a dry finish.
